Crossed the finish line at the Dash of Doom race today. It was a cold day, but nothing beats that feeling of accomplishment at the end. This race reminded me that showing up is half the battle, and every step of training led to this moment. 10K done, and I’m already thinking about the next one. 💪🏅

We started these communities because running brings people together. Because movement can create connection, friendship, confidence, and a place to belong.

We want our runs to be somewhere people can show up as themselves. Somewhere your pace, your background, your identity, or your story doesn't determine whether you deserve to be there.

That kind of community doesn't happen by accident. It takes care, accountability, and a willingness to stand up for one another.

Racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, discrimination, harassment, and threats have no place in our community.

That includes hostility toward people because of where they're from, the language they speak, their accent, their culture, or their immigration status. It includes targeted abuse disguised as humour, and behaviour that makes someone feel threatened or unwelcome.

We can approach people with compassion. We can make room for learning and growth. But kindness does not mean looking the other way, and community does not mean protecting harmful behaviour.

Serious or repeated violations may result in removal or exclusion from future events.

We want you here. We want you to feel safe here. And we will stand together to protect that.

Calgary… my heart is so full. ❤️

Full of love, gratitude, joy, and a whole lot of pride. What a beautiful community we have here. Last night was something special. The energy, the smiles, the music, the people… WHAT A VIBE.

Thank you to every single person who came out and made this night what it was.

A huge thank you to Run Calgary and Garmin Canada for supporting us.

Aaron, thank you for absolutely crushing it on the bike.

Body Art Run Club, Dorothy’s Run Club, Fun Frugal Friday, Harmony Run Club, Motivated in Motion, Ukrainian Unity Runners with PRT, Embrace Every Run Club, November Project, and Sole Run Club… thank you for showing up, bringing the energy, and bringing your communities together with ours.

Brenna, you are absolutely amazing. Thank you for pacing the front and helping keep this whole thing moving.

And to all my friends and volunteers who helped make this happen… you are what makes this so special. I couldn’t do this without you. 🫶

I’m still blown away by how much love this city showed us last night.
