A few days late to the marathon instagram party. @outwaysocks 1/2 marathon

The goal was to land somewhere between 1:35-1:40. But due to having the plague and not getting in any long runs 3 weeks before the race, we were unsuccessful. Still a PB nonetheless, so still happy with this one - 1:45:24.

Huge shoutout to everyone who came out to support their friends and family this past Sunday. There is nothing like race weekend.

With race day just around the corner, we had one very important question for the Outway team running the Outway Half: what’s getting you through those final kilometres?

Let’s just say…the answers were all over the place 😂

What’s your race day why?

We asked the Outway team, who’ll be out on the Outway Half course this year, that exact question.
Different reasons, same drive to keep moving.

Jenny found her love for running while fundraising for BC Cancer in honour of her mom last year. Now she’s chasing a PB for herself. Travis’s why is gratitude. Showing up is a privilege he doesn’t take for granted, so he’s running for everyone who can’t. Emily is doing it for the community, the vibes and the feeling of a whole city showing up together.

As this year’s title sponsor, we’ll be cheering on every runner. We’d love to know what made you sign up. Tell us your “why” below 👇

Run The Parkade❕

Hands down the coolest running event Victoria has ever seen. Countless hours of hard-work was put in by an amazing crew for this one. Much love to @hbatuhankaya @runwtrav @karljanisse for brining this to life.

Huge shoutout to everyone else involved @frontrunnersvic @notoriousrunclub @on @mhnecha @jaywalrus + many more.

I ran the Parkade. The real question is will you next time?

RUN THE PARKADE was over 2 days ago now but it was such a fun event that we can’t stop thinking about it!

On Friday September 25th, teams of runners took to an underground parkade to complete a 4x400m relay race. And it might have been the best running event Victoria has ever seen!

I was lucky enough to stop by for the first half and snap some photos 📸
