💥 Please give a warm welcome to another Rockstar Agent RUSS MACNAB joining our REAL BROKER family! 💥 I’ve been selling real estate in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge for more than 17 years, and I still love it as much as I did on day one. I was born and raised in Maple Ridge, so when I tell a client what a street, a school catchment, or a commute is really like, it’s not something I looked up, it’s something I know. I co-founded The Macnabs Team back in 2012, and since then I’ve built my business almost entirely on referrals. That only happens if you actually take care of people, so that’s what I focus on: telling clients the truth about a home even when it’s not what they want to hear, staying reachable when questions come up (they always do), and not disappearing the moment an offer is accepted. Before real estate, I spent time in construction and design, and that background still shapes how I look at a house, I can usually tell what’s cosmetic and what’s structural, and I pass that read on to my clients so they’re not guessing. It also means I know how to present a home so it sells: professional photography, drone footage, video walkthroughs, and marketing that actually gets in front of buyers, not just listed and forgotten. Back when my brother and I decided swinging hammers for a living wasn’t quite enough punishment, we quit construction and decided to start a clothing company. 😂 The idea was pretty simple: create a local brand that wasn’t tied to just one sport, but represented all the stuff we were into — snowboarding, skiing, biking, wakeboarding and basically anything that involved going too fast and occasionally getting hurt. Then came the name. VARIX — meaning permanently dilated. The V + X crossed together became the logo, and somehow an idea between two brothers turned into a legit little local brand that we were pretty damn proud of. No business degrees. No investors. No clue what we were doing. Just a couple of friends, some creativity, a love for action sports and enough confidence to figure it out as we went. Pretty fun looking back at this chapter.
