Wednesday — Focus on the Next Pitch

Scripture: “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.” — Proverbs 4:25, NIV

Devotion: One missed pitch can follow you into the next at-bat if you keep replaying it. Learn what you can, then bring your attention back to the moment in front of you. Today gives you another opportunity to listen, prepare, and respond with purpose. Ask God to help you give this moment your full attention.

Prayer: Father, quiet the distractions. Help me learn from yesterday and be fully present today. Amen.

Biblical mental-health tip: Practice a simple reset: take a slow breath, feel your feet on the ground, and name your next useful action.

Today’s Challenge: Choose a reset phrase for practice: “Here. Now. Next pitch.”

🐓 RESILIENT ROOSTER — REMEMBER WHO GAVE YOU THE STRENGTH

“But remember the Lord your God…” — Deuteronomy 8:18, NIV

It’s easy to pray when you’re waiting for your chance. When you’re on the bench. When you’re recovering. When the dream feels a long way off.

But what happens when the door opens? When your name is called? When you finally step onto the field you prayed about?

In Deuteronomy 8, Moses warned the Israelites not to forget God when they settled into the good land He was giving them. With full stomachs and comfortable homes, they could begin to believe they had accomplished it all on their own.

We can do the same. We remember the hours we practiced but forget who gave us the ability to practice. We celebrate our determination but overlook the people God used to help us keep going.

Work hard. Develop your gifts. Pursue the dream with discipline, while trusting God with how the journey unfolds. And when success comes, keep making time for the One you called on in the struggle.

Let your gratitude grow with your opportunities. Let your platform become a place to point others toward Jesus.

🙏 Prayer
Lord, thank You for the strength, gifts, and people You’ve placed in my life. Keep me faithful in the waiting and humble in the winning. Shape my dreams according to Your will. When doors open, help me use every opportunity to love others and give You glory. Amen.

⚾ Today’s R3 Challenge
Thank God for three ways He has helped you grow. Then thank one person who has helped you along the way.

Faith through the fight. Purpose in the platform.

R³ DEVOTIONAL | GOD IS STILL BUILDING YOU
Resilient. Relentless. Redeemed.

Scripture reading: James 1:2–4

Some days, the battle looks like a giant. Other days, it looks like another strikeout, a seat on the bench, or a prayer you’re still waiting to see answered.

Before David wore a crown, he learned to trust God in the fields. When he faced Goliath, he remembered God’s faithfulness. His courage grew from knowing Who stood with him.

A difficult season doesn’t mean God has abandoned you. You may not understand why it’s happening, but you can trust Him to work within it—growing perseverance, deepening your faith, and teaching you to take the next faithful step.

On the field, keep being coachable. In the waiting, keep praying. When you’re tired, receive rest and support. Your worth is secure in Christ, even when your performance feels uncertain.

God is still building you. Give Him room to work.

🙏 Prayer
Lord, meet me in the battle I don’t understand. Help me trust You with the outcome and be faithful with today. Grow my courage, steady my heart, and remind me that I never face my giants alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

🧠 Resilient Rooster reminder
You can have strong faith and still feel overwhelmed. Tell God honestly how you feel, and let someone you trust walk beside you.

🔥 R³ Challenge
Name one “giant” you’re facing. Pray over it, then take one step today: ask for help, practice with purpose, or make time to rest.

Faith through the fight. Purpose in the platform.
