I had a free seasonal latte coupon for @ruthanddean that was burning a hole in my pocket! I brought my sons and they both had chocolate chip cookies 🍪 what else? I had a pumpkin spice latte (of course) 🎃 and I couldn’t resist my favorite meal, an avocado toast 🥑 I wasn’t expecting much for their avo toast, but it was absolutely delightful! The egg, the spice, the pickled onions? Bro, yes please.

UPDATE 10/9: ALL 30 SPOTS FILLED❤️

EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT OCT 24 🫶🏻

Come knit at Ruth and Dean Cafe with me in downtown Victoria! Our first social was such a blast and I hope you’ll join me for this one too ❤️ Very grateful to Ruth and Dean for letting us use their space for our event.

Our socials are very casual drop-in events: bring a craft, maybe a friend, and come have some fun chats with new friends and a tasty treat.

RSVP for free at knittingwithfriends.ca (link in bio) or leave a comment so I can save you a seat 🫶🏻

There was a line before we even opened?!?! 😳 You guys really showed up for us today!!! 🥹🥹🥹

So many friends, neighbours, and familiar faces from our past pop-ups came out to support us, which meant the world to us (thank you guys) - which meant you took the biggest day we ever had… and TRIPLED it…!

It was pretty much nonstop all day. Such a whirlwind of meeting people from the village, catching up, and feeling so, so, soooo much kindness from everyone who came through.

From friends and neighbours like @timelesstoysvictoria and @jenningsflorists dropping off flowers to our neighbours @nohrathaikitchen bringing over food to make sure we ate, or @ruthanddean across the road giving out drinks to our first customers, there were so many little ways you made sure we felt the love. And we without a doubt did.

THANK YOU, ESTEVAN!!!! 💕💕💕 Our heart is bursting!

What’s next? We’re open again tomorrow, 10–4, but… and we say this with a ton of gratitude: our shelves will be a little lighter, as we sold out of a number of titles today…

Still can’t believe I’m saying that…What a community we have supporting us. We appreciate all of you more than you’ll ever know ❤️📚

Sorry these pictures are not aesthetic AT ALL but the sausage roll from @ruthanddean got rave reviews from my husband who rated it 🥁 best sausage roll on the island??? And a chocolate chip cookie that immediately entered my son’s mouth before I could let the camera eat 🫤

The most delicious autumnal weekend morning - a new book (and shop), a banana bread latte, and the first birthday cake of the season (Libra). 🍁✨🎉

You all must go and treat yourself to a few new titles at @meantwellbooks their shop is so lovely, every little detail! The line this morning for their grand opening was out the door! It was busy and I didn’t want to clog the space so I will be back! They have some adorable ball caps that every reader girl must have!

The coffee at @ruthanddean is also delicious and their patio under a beautiful mature tree is the prefer place to crack a new novel!!!

Today’s the day…!!! We officially have a bookshop (with a front door you can walk through and everything!!).

After a couple of weeks of people peeking in and asking if we’re open, we finally get to say: yes, come on in.

You can find us open today from 10–4 at 2534 Estevan Avenue. Our first 25 customers will get a coupon for a free small seasonal latte of their choice from our incredible neighbours , @ruthanddean , across the road.

There are also fall festivities next door at @twiceasniceconsignmentoakbay , including discounts at @larkandhaire salon across the road and more. It’s going to be a great day!

(+Finally, an open day where we don’t have to check the weather.😁🛻📚)
