Mon pull #whelksweater designed by @ruthemann_design est enfin terminé, avec beaucoup de retard pour le test. Mais je n’avais plus assez de laine et une dis e complément réceptionné j’étais sur d’autre engagement. En tout cas I est trop beau et j’en suis super content. Three years ago, I made my husband his first sweater and there’s no sweater curse in sight 😅

Maybe, it’s because we’re married for almost 10 years now or maybe because we did get in the fateful seventh year, so no curse can harm us 🤪

Or maybe, there is no such thing as a sweater curse.

This way or another, I’m currently working on the fourth one. Perfect excuse to recap the ones from previous years ☺️

Spirits Meet is back ✨
And I truly hope its name resonates with many of you just as it does with us. This colourway has become something of a quiet classic here at Zakami – always welcomed, always cherished, always missed a little when it’s gone.

With so many colourways currently in stock, it felt like the perfect moment to show you a few pairing suggestions. More and more patterns encourage holding fingering weight with lace, DK with lace, or even two lace strands together, so I’ve chosen combinations that give you room to explore texture, depth and softness.

I love the details and of course the color! 💚

This sweater was so fast to knit, it took me just a week sporadically knitting and two full days on the weekend. I am so in love with how it came out, that I'm thinking about knitting another one 🥰

Finally got my husband to get some photos of the #loomsweater I made him in the daylight (it’s so hard now the darkness comes so early in the evening).

He has been wearing it loads and has found it has kept him nice and warm. He has needed to wear a T-shirt underneath as he is a bit sensitive to the itch from the drops Nepal but it’s not been a major issue.

Pattern of the week: I like to knit at least one sweater a year for my husband, and when I saw this new design by @ruthemann_design Andreas Ruthemann, I knew this would be this year's. The last sweater I knitted for him was also by Andreas, who is fast becoming my go-to designer for interesting men's patterns. This one is the Whelk Sweater, named for the resemblance of the swirling spiral motif to the shell of a whelk. It is knitted in Rauma Fivel, so even better! Husband wants a green sweater, so just waiting for the next delivery of Fivel (due in about a week) to cast on. The pattern is now available on Ravelry in English, German and Danish.

Modèle de la semaine : j'aime tricoter au moins un pull par an pour mon mari, et quand j'ai vu ce nouveau modèle de @ruthemann_design Andreas Ruthemann, je savais que ce serait celui de cette année. Le dernier pull que je lui ai tricoté était également un modèle d'Andreas, qui devient mon designer préféré pour les modèles intéressants pour homme. Celui-ci s'appelle le Whelk Sweater (Pull Bulot) en raison de la ressemblance entre son motif en spirale et la coquille d'un bulot. Il est tricoté en Rauma Fivel, ce qui est encore mieux ! Mon mari veut un pull vert, j'attends donc la prochaine livraison de Fivel (prévue dans une semaine à peu près) pour commencer. Le patron est désormais disponible sur Ravelry en anglais, allemand et danois.
