A very hopeful fall hopefuls list from my physical tbr 🍁🍂

I've been reading This is Me: A Reckoning by Hayden Panettiere and The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell for the last couple weeks. I've been too busy to finish any books though 😢 but these are ones on my hopefuls list:

- The It Girl by Ruth Ware
- Summerween by Joss Wood
- Beartown by Fredrik Backman
- Roadshow by Nikki Ervice

Beartown I've had the longest, and Roadshow I got most recently.

Have you read any of these? I think Roadshow will be up next 🙏🏻

💀𝔻𝔼𝔸𝔻 𝔾𝕆𝕆𝔻 ℝ𝔼𝔸𝔻𝕊💀

For this week’s #oldskoolchallenge I give you #DeadGoodReads — books with Death, Died, or Murder in the title! I didn’t think I’d have too many of these, but I came up with quite a crop!

💀Death Comes To Pemberley
💀One Death At A Time
💀The Thursday Murder Club
💀The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle
💀Death and Other Happy Endings
💀The Death of Mrs. Westaway
💀The Last Devil to Die
💀The Man Who Died Twice

And now I’m realizing I forgot to include How Not To Die Alone… I feel bad that that book, in particular, was left all alone on the shelf. 🤣

I’ve read all but two of these… how about you?

The usual taggy stuff!

📚Book Review📚

This is the second book I have read by Ruth Ware and I bloody loved it.

Rowan is at a turning point in her life; her flat mate has moved abroad, she has no family close by and she is going nowhere in her job. So when she spots an advert for a lovely in nanny for three children in the Scottish highlands, she jumps at the chance.

Rowan gets the job and starts immediately but there are some things which make her feel uncomfortable despite living in a star of the art, beautiful home.. should she be left alone with two young girls the day after she arrives? Particularly as the behaviour of one of the girls, Maddie, seems to be a bit extreme and unpredictable. Then Rowan catches wind of the rumours about the house in the village. Rumours about children dying years ago and ghosts in the ancient house. But these are just rumours … so why is Rowan awakened by footsteps in the night. Footsteps in a room that doesn’t exist …

This is a gripping, suspenseful psychological thriller which has everything. There are twists and turns that I didn’t predict and genuinely didn’t see until I was hit with them! I couldn’t put this book down. If you are a fan of Lisa Jewel and Alice Feeney, this is definitely for you. Hauntingly brilliant, bloody loved it.

Thank you so much to @writtenbykayrhysevans for arranging this buddy read. I loved being a part of it and reading everyone’s comments 🥰

📖 Zero Days - Ruth Ware
4.5 ⭐️

This was SO good! 👏🏻 It had me locked in from the start and there was action the whole way through.

When Jacintha “Jack” Cross is accused of a shocking crime, she’s left fighting to prove her innocence while everything around her begins to unravel. With secrets, danger and a race against time, you’re thrown straight into the chaos.

While the plot twist wasn’t overly surprising, I still had such a good time reading this! It was fast-paced, kept me hooked and had me wanting to know what was going to happen next.

If you love a thriller that gets straight into the action and doesn’t muck around, this one is definitely worth picking up! 🔥

Have you read this one yet? 👀📖
