Still crammed in a temporary space but looking forward to building a new outdoor set up soon! #traditionalarchery #barebowarchery #recurvebow

With the state of my place, I haven’t been able to shoot arrows in what feels like two weeks. Finally got back at it for a little bit today, shooting through the rooms, which probably isn’t the safest thing in the world. Nothing like putting a hole straight through a wall. 😂

Really looking forward to building an outdoor setup again and getting back to shooting outside in the coming months. 🍂🏹

1 arrow a day, 3 Days, 1 stick.
Mission accomplished. I have never done this before. Pretty proud of myself. It’s all about the breath control and calm. #targetpractice #barebowarchery #recurvebow #traditionalarchery

A single shot a day keeps the doctor away. Granted… I did stay in sick today. But look… in all seriousness… it’s nice to be finding my calm, breath control, and being able to lock in on the target. First and only shot of the day… two days in a row….both winners. That’s real for real.

Welcome back! I can’t wait to finish cleaning up this space and build it out the way I need. I’ll get to this part of the floor eventually, but first I needed to shoot an arrow after my NYC trip to make sure I hadn’t lost my touch in a week. #traditionalarchery #barebowarchery #targetpractice #recurvearchery

I’m realizing that having the candle farther out in front of the backstop, so the arrow can actually clear the flame, makes all the difference in creating enough wind and force to blow it out. Next time I snap an arrow trying to put out a candle, I’ll just move the candle forward a foot. 😂 #barebowarchery #targetpractice

Putting the candle out is easy. Snapping the arrow is easy. Why can’t I seem to do both at the same time??!!. Oh well. Another morning stab at this. #targetpractice #traditionalarchery #morningtargetpractice #barebowarchery

First shot all week. There’s something about finding your calm, settling into your rhythm, and feeling your own heartbeat and breath that goes hand in hand with effective shooting.

When I’m out of whack, out of sync… so is my shooting. But when I slow down and actually listen to myself, it’s a game changer.
