Honestly, TikTok is some silly shit. One video goes viral and suddenly you feel obligated to become a content creator. Meanwhile this video exists mostly because I finally washed my hair for the first time this month, let it down, and realized I’m starting to feel like myself again. Dropped a few pounds since Ren Faire, getting healthier, feeling good, and preparing for the work ahead. #traditionalarchery #targetpractice #archery #robinhood @viragoalley @rvarenfaire by @rvarobinhood

Unwinding with incense. 2 shots, 2 hits. I was hoping to put out the smoke on the first try but I got close. #Barebowarchery #recurvearchery #traditionalarchery by @rvarobinhood

With the state of my place, I haven’t been able to shoot arrows in what feels like two weeks. Finally got back at it for a little bit today, shooting through the rooms, which probably isn’t the safest thing in the world. Nothing like putting a hole straight through a wall. 😂

Really looking forward to building an outdoor setup again and getting back to shooting outside in the coming months. 🍂🏹 by @rvarobinhood

1 arrow a day, 3 Days, 1 stick.
Mission accomplished. I have never done this before. Pretty proud of myself. It’s all about the breath control and calm. #targetpractice #barebowarchery #recurvebow #traditionalarchery by @rvarobinhood

A single shot a day keeps the doctor away. Granted… I did stay in sick today. But look… in all seriousness… it’s nice to be finding my calm, breath control, and being able to lock in on the target. First and only shot of the day… two days in a row….both winners. That’s real for real. by @rvarobinhood

Welcome back! I can’t wait to finish cleaning up this space and build it out the way I need. I’ll get to this part of the floor eventually, but first I needed to shoot an arrow after my NYC trip to make sure I hadn’t lost my touch in a week. #traditionalarchery #barebowarchery #targetpractice #recurvearchery by @rvarobinhood

Someone on TikTok told me I should post all the videos where I don’t hit the target. 😂 So here you go.

A little series of me trying to pin a 1-inch roll of washi tape after a very long day of work.

I did manage one ringer, but honestly, sometimes getting this close over and over is more fun than actually hitting it. At least you can see I’m consistently on the mark. It forces you to lock in, make tiny adjustments, and keep trying.

Especially when the damn target is moving. 🏹 by @rvarobinhood

I’m realizing that having the candle farther out in front of the backstop, so the arrow can actually clear the flame, makes all the difference in creating enough wind and force to blow it out. Next time I snap an arrow trying to put out a candle, I’ll just move the candle forward a foot. 😂 #barebowarchery #targetpractice by @rvarobinhood

Putting the candle out is easy. Snapping the arrow is easy. Why can’t I seem to do both at the same time??!!. Oh well. Another morning stab at this. #targetpractice #traditionalarchery #morningtargetpractice #barebowarchery by @rvarobinhood
