By Gods grace we make tool watches and other rugged goods in Fort Worth, TX (est. 2021)

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

#spearfishing the local breakwater with the @makospearguns breakdown travel #polespear rocking the classic #budgetdiver #casioduro on the @rwatchco Red Dawn Gorka camo #natostrap Spotted tons of opaleye black perch and zebra perch but all my shots glanced or missed. Bent a few tines of the spear but those bend back and resharpen easily. Can’t beat the overall simple design and function of a pole spear for long-term use. 🌊🤿🐟🔱

#spearfishing with the #casioduro #mdv106 on the @rwatchco #reddawn #natostrap at a local spot to humble myself with the pole spear again. Opaleye and Surfperch all spotted but either too small or too fast to catch this time. 🤿🌊🐟🔱👌

ANOTHER ROUND

Appreciate all the birthday wishes for another year around the sun.

Lots to be grateful for and appreciate all your support.

Living in Montana has been an eye opening and it’s been great getting to know each of you guys along the journey. My wife and I have been through a lot so it’s nice to know you have our backs. The healing process continues.

Strange sad emotions with both my parents gone, but I hope I can keep making them proud and impacting peoples lives in a positive way.

@foodoriginspodcast is rolling past seventy five episodes and have interviewed some of my culinary, farmers, ranchers, artisans, CPG, athletic, hunting and tactical heroes. Look forward to having more origin stories for you. Thanks to my sponsor Alex @ultrahotpeppers for your continued support. Make sure you get some Yuzu Salt!

Part of the podcast has helped me connect people in the best way. Whether it’s a new Chef, media or adding a client to their customer base. I’ve been able to meet some amazing people and go on some new adventures.

Lots more to do as I’m now part of a volunteer SAR Team here in the valley, received my first degree in BJJ from @oneworldjiujitsu via my brother @areiajj , and continue to lead @thmcflathead Men’s Club.

Lastly thank you to my ♥️ wife Liz, I couldn’t do this without you , you are my best friend and my ride or die.

Much love and respect. 🤙🏽

I want to give a big thank you to @rwatchco for sending me their Jakkal to review.

I’ve really enjoyed checking this watch out. I love the military inspired look, especially the history behind the design and how it takes inspiration from field watches associated with African conflicts during the 1960s and 1970s.

The 38mm case is a great size, and I really like the black PVD finish paired with the leather Bund strap. The fact that you can remove the Bund portion and change up the look is a really nice touch.

You also get a Swiss Ronda 713 quartz movement, a domed sapphire crystal, 100m water resistance, and blue lume. I think Revelation did a great job combining a vintage military aesthetic with modern features that make this watch practical for everyday wear.

Overall, I think the Jakkal looks amazing, and I really appreciate Revelation Watch Company giving me the opportunity to check it out and share my thoughts. This is definitely a watch I’ve enjoyed wearing!

LAND. SEA. AIR. 🏜️⚓✈️

A little coastal weather and three different interpretations of the classic tool watch.

San Diego has been treating us to gray skies, steady rain, and some genuinely cool temperatures. A welcome change from the Arizona desert and a reminder of what autumn is supposed to feel like.

Figured I’d take advantage of the moody afternoon light and put together a little land, sea, and air exercise.

🏜️ LAND | Revelation Watch Co. Kufra
A vintage-inspired desert chronograph, appropriately outfitted in desert camouflage.

⚓ SEA | Brigade SubCommander
200 meters of dive-watch utility. Built with a different environment in mind.

✈️ AIR | Sinn 556
German engineering, aviation heritage, and the kind of clean instrument-inspired design that never goes out of style.

Three watches. Three environments. One philosophy.

Good tools, purposeful design, and a little adventure along the way.

Sometimes a change in the weather is all the inspiration you need.

So, having introduced #effennfriday quite a few years ago, I’m pleased to still be able to bring you images that I’m absolutely certain most of you will never have seen before!
Pic 9 for example shows off a fairly unique set of camouflage leather chest webbing (the same leather as my boots that some of you will remember) in use. I do know that the residual salt in the leather from its first dry curing rusts magazines terribly when the leather gets wet, so not a great idea in practice!
There’s a new pic of a heavy barrel FN and some German G1 FNs as well, with Guard Force.
Have a great Friday, and remember….
Rhodesia was Super!
