GREEN THUMB????
Do you believe in the myth of a green thumb? There are only 3 things that debunk this myth :
1. Good soil
2. The sun
3. Water
Once all these 3 are present or aligned, your crops will do well. PERIOD!!!
But you have to take care of them just like you do with a baby, and you will get a bounty. Don’t you agree?

🌱👩🏽‍🌾 Farming Fridays 🥬

It all starts at the source. 💜

Meet my friend’s daddy — a man who has been growing tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, jalapeños, and more for his neighbors and family for *six to seven years*. Not because he had to. Because he wanted to *share*.

That’s the heart behind everything we do at Rx Catering. We cook with love — and love starts with knowing where your food comes from. 🌿

This week, I’m seeing that don’t need a big yard to grow your own food. You can do it in containers, on your front porch, your back porch — *anywhere*. Container farming is real, it’s accessible, and it’s something ANYONE can do.

Every Friday I’ll be bringing you closer to the farms, the farmers, and the fresh ingredients that make our food so special.

We Cook With Love — and now you know where that love grows. 💜🌱

*Tag someone who needs to start their own container garden!* 👇🏽

TIRED—physically AND mentally—but incredibly grateful for the continued business and support! 🙏🏽💜

A heartfelt thank-you to SHRM, Little Ambassadors Academy, STEM Preschool, Ballston Children’s Center, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, our pharmaceutical representatives, and all our amazing clients who continue to trust Rx Catering.

The long days and hard work are worth it when you’re blessed to do what you love and serve others with excellence. Thank you for allowing us to continue doing what we do best—cooking and serving with LOVE! 💜

These Watermelon Feta Bites are the perfect cookout favorite—juicy watermelon, creamy feta, and fresh mint come together for a simple appetizer that looks beautiful and tastes even better. 🍉✨

Community is bigger than football❗️
⠀
This past weekend, we had the opportunity to bring families together for a day filled with food, fun, games, music, giveaways, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make Community Day a success!
⠀
A special thank you to all of the sponsors, volunteers, and to Maurice “Moe” Brown II for investing back into the community. This is what it’s all about.

💜 We're back from the Anacostia River Festival, here's what happened

Let me tell you something...the Anacostia River Festival was INCREDIBLE.

We showed up with our "Nourish & Know" wellness activation, and mamas showed OUT. We had lines. We had return guests coming back for seconds. We had real conversations about birth, wellness, and what it means to prepare for anything.

Proof that when we create space for mamas to be nourished, seen, and educated, they show up for themselves. 💜

We loved the energy, set intentions, taught & learned. A great time was had by all. #anacostiariverfestival #dcriverfest

Play with a Purpose! 🏆💜

After-School All-Stars DC chapter was back at it again this week for our annual fundraiser, and of course Rx Catering was proud to be a sponsor AND have a team in the competition!

There’s nothing better than having FUN while raising money to support and empower our youth. And to top it off…our team brought home the WIN! 🥇🏆

My team had already left when the announcement was made, but I’m beyond grateful for their presence, energy, and passion this year. It truly takes a village to make an impact.

We’re still working to reach our $100K fundraising goal, and every donation — big or small — makes a difference! Thank you for supporting the future of our youth. 💜
