Richie Goods and Chien Chien Lu’s Ohio stop ended at the Columbus Museum of Art, with a performance we’re still talking about weeks later. 🎶

Bass, vibraphone, drums, and guitar, in conversation all night.

Thank you to everyone who came out and listened with us. Your presence meant everything. Our gratitude to @columbusmuseum for hosting a beautiful night.

And a special thank you to @chienchienluvibes @richiegoods @russg100 @pikemilot for sharing your gifts and bringing the house down. 🎸

Welcome to Kida after hours. If you haven’t already noticed, I love bringing people together. I’m down to celebrate anything and everything, and our first birthday called for something major like Klub Kida.

Somethings are never asked but always needed. If you haven’t heard it, be encouraged and don’t quit. What you do does not go unnoticed.

Witnessing a connection so deep it sparks a dance! Sydnee and Jasmine shared that beautiful energy with us. We are constantly moved by the joy and affection radiating from the couples who celebrate their big day at The Kitchen. There is nothing quite like seeing such genuine happiness during a wedding celebration.

Spinning it back to Black Tech Week 🖤

Great time supporting The Room W/ @inspiredbytc + Dr. B activating during @blacktechweek !

The Room.
Black Tech.
Dope individuals.
Great message.

A few gems I’m still carrying with me from keynote @damolaadamolekun , CEO of Red Lobster:

“Don’t focus on anything but your customers.”
"Lead as the best version of yourself.”

A couple of Sundays ago, I had the pleasure of spinning at the reception celebrating @swaltonesq getting sworn in as the new NAACP president for the Columbus chapter. To be a part of this historic moment is actually mind blowing. To say I am honored is truly an understatement. THANK YOU for trusting me! We had a blast ✨

To our president: This position wasn’t handed to you. You fought and put everything on the line on behalf of your people. In these current times, you knew Columbus needed this branch to transform into much more for this community.

The road to reinvigorating our branch was over a year in the making. There were stretches where the silence felt heavier than the work itself. But while everyone else waited, you were on the phone, one person at a time, speaking life into the community about the vision for this branch. Making sure nobody’s faith ran out before the process caught up. That’s the part of this story most people will never know.

To his wife Jennifer and his beautiful brilliant girls, thank you for allowing him to serve, and for serving alongside him. There will be nights this work asks more than it gives back, and it will fall on you to remind him why he started. We see that sacrifice too, and we don’t take it for granted. We are forever appreciative of your family.

You are your ancestors’ wildest dreams. And to some people’s ancestors, you are their worst nightmare. Just know we’re standing with you in both.

Columbus we are here to work. Because when we fight, we win.
