The Pro Am Padel Tour Creator Tournament 🎾

A great laugh, a realllll good sweat and an amazing team to play with 🫶
I warned my team beforehand I have a habit of ducking..
and it worked when I nearly got hit on the head 😉

Maybe I should outgrow that one.

Thanks for an amazing day @proampadeltour 🥰

The 1st ever ProAm Padel Tour Creator Cup! MY PADEL THERAPY 🎾💚 What a DAY!

Just over a year ago I was a complete padel beginner. Today I was invited back at Racketeers playing in the inaugural Pro Am Padel Tour Creator Tournament alongside pros, creators and some familiar faces from my new padel world! 🙌🏽

And I think my biggest takeaway is still the same:

Who knew saying YES to a new sport in midlife would bring me so much JOY? 💚

I absolutely LOVE this sport. Yes, it’s brilliant for your heart, bones, brain and muscles - but for me it’s become about so much more…

The mood boost. The laughter. The confidence. The social connection. The new friendships. The FUN.

And with a much quieter house since my youngest left for uni, a whole day of padel therapy was exactly what I needed. 🥹🎾

Today included coaching from pro Rafa, FIVE matches back-to-back, brilliant people, pizza… and then I STILL went back on court for more. 😂 Safe to say I tested my padel stamina!

And obviously… when your dress matches your pre-match protein shake 💚

I came to sport later in life and never imagined that, as a South Asian woman approaching 50, I’d discover a new sport I could become quite this addicted to!

That’s why representation matters. I hope seeing me out there encourages another woman to think:

“Maybe I could try that too.”

You absolutely can. All ages. All abilities. You don’t need to have grown up sporty.

Just give it a go. You never know where saying YES might take you. 💚

Huge thank you @proampadeltour for having me - I practically had to be dragged off court at the end of the day! 😂🎾 Best Monday ever!

What have YOU tried later in life that’s brought you unexpected joy? 👇🏽
