PWL pt.2 Drag Race Edition

PWL was fun. Ended up being the runner up. Congrats to @teamallrace on their win. This is two years in a row and back to back events on the season as a runner up 🤦🏽‍♂️

Times are not worth showing lol had a PB of 158mph on one of the passes with one 1.5x 60ft.

We think one of the injectors is acting up and we think the diff might of said bye bye. Couple of one tire burn outs 😂🤦🏽‍♂️

Thanks to the entire team for helping out all day. My wife @katie.escobar332 for making sure we were well fed and hydrated and help with the parachute and buckling me in. @jrmfabrication and his brother for helping out with the car and 💻

Until next time

@importfaceoffofficial Seattle was one for the books. Got runner up on FWD out of 11 cars.

@1320rubberfarmer and the entire @theplacetorace crew always doing a great job.

My team did fucking awesome. Everyone came together to make this shit happen. Everyone helped out and we made it round after round.

Q1: 9.9 off the trailer. Spinning hard off the line

Q2: 9.7 @ 153 PB. Cut a 1.5x 60ft. All PBs

I was the #4 qualifier.

E1:10.6 @ 125mph against my boy @rieger_mk2 I treed him and ran my race. Car felt like it had no power so I let off about the 1000ft mark and coasted to the finish line. Came to find out I had ran out of Co2. 😬 almost lost to him 😅

E2: 10.01 - ran my race, didn’t push the car knowing we had to drive right back to the staging lanes for semi’s

Semi: 9.64 @ 157 all PBs. Another 1.5x 60ft. Could’ve been faster but we had some hiccups with the shift cut.

Guy next to me broke/miss shifted. unfortunately for him but great for me as his car was on a lick. I hate to win this way but a win is a win. He was able to drive back. Super nice dude.

Finals: My entire crew scrambled to get the shoot packed, fuel in the car and cool the car down a bit after two back to back runs. We had a minute to spare before the track shut down. The guy I was racing against ran an 8.5 earlier that day so I knew I had to be on my game to put some pressure on him. I had a decent 60ft, he was ahead of me by a car or two andddd Long story short I money shifted 2-3-2. Revved to 11k. Seems like the motor and trans are still intact but I have to drain the oil and do some other stuff to make sure we are all good for PWL in a couple weeks.

Overall car ran terrific all day. We went rounds without major issues. We are having some issues with the shift cut which you can see on the in car video. We will get that ironed out and run low 9s possibly an 8.

Now to the thank the real MVPs of the weekend @kunick777 @jrmfabrication @snstr4145 @katie.escobar332 @t.hill78989 @ryancornelison @shay.cornelison @team.8v and everyone else that helped out. Y’all fucking rock. This wouldn’t be possible without y’all.

Officially got my NHRA license at bug run last weekend. Thanks to @vw1320 for awesome tuning skills as always, he was able to get the car to still work with a clutch that is slipping really bad. But we were able to pull it off and was a great day. Ran a 10.7 @ 137 mph. Big thanks to @ryancornelison and @speedingg60 for signing off on the passes. Also @_jake_rawson_ came down so be on the look out on his YouTube channel for a new video coming out. His link is in my bio. And as always big thanks to my amazing wife @_nicole.king_ for all the help and being the best solo pit crew.
