DR 2026 🇩🇴🌴⚾️

“The world is full of beautiful places. Let your heart be one of them.”

This quote perfectly sums up our 6th annual Dominican Republic humanitarian trip!
-
Our hearts are full following our return from the DR, where we continued our mission of supporting hundreds of hardworking, passionate, and humble ballplayers. Their deep-rooted love for the game and inspiring work ethic motivate us to push even further next year.
This trip, we distributed around 600 lbs of gear—including over 150 Diamondbacks shirts and jerseys, 85 pairs of cleats, 45 pairs of pants, 85 gloves, and 80 bats—across four academies and little leagues, benefiting kids from ages 5 to 15. The reaction is always the same: pure, heartfelt gratitude for blessings that will be put to great use.

A huge thank you to Jorge Minyety, Samuel Aquino, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and all the Scottsdale Heat families who joined the trip—collectively helping make it a massive success!

We're excited to announce Eveyn Carson as our 2026 H2F Scholarship winner🏆

In recognition of his awesome performance both on the field and in the classroom, this rising 7th grader from Champion School South Mountain has been awarded a highly coveted scholarship to play for the Scottsdale Heat travel ball team!

During our second season of the NJRL (Nike Junior RBI League) in East Phoenix, Eveyn emerged as a clear standout. He routinely showcased his talents at the plate and in the field, all while maintaining a humble, hardworking attitude and being an incredibly supportive teammate.
With tons of raw talent and a determination to never quit, Eveyn has a bright future ahead of him. He definitely earned this scholarship, and we cannot wait to see him reach new heights under Coach Jorge Minyety and the Scottsdale Heat staff!

Huge congratulations, Eveyn! We will continue to recognize outstanding student athletes in the years to come as we empower kids to learn, play, and love the great game of baseball.

What a special day at Chase Field!

Our league, formerly the BHBL and now the NJRL (Nike Junior RBI League), continues to make great strides both on the field and in the classroom. We are incredibly honored and proud to partner with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Nike Jr. RBI Baseball, giving us the opportunity to take this league to even greater heights.

The biggest winners are the kids of the Balsz School District. Through baseball, they are not only learning how to play and love this great game, but also developing invaluable life skills such as hard work, teamwork, resilience, and perseverance.

The future is bright!💙

Congratulations to H2F’s true inspiration, Jorge Minyety, on becoming an official U.S. citizen! Jorge’s deep-rooted passion for baseball and his love for helping underprivileged ballplayers in the Dominican Republic sparked the creation of the Home2First Foundation in 2021.

Jorge’s journey to U.S. citizenship began in 2009, when he played with the AZL Padres in the Arizona League. Building on his baseball career, he has had a profound and lasting positive impact on hundreds of young, aspiring ballplayers in Arizona by teaching them the “right way” to play the game. More than being one of the best coaches in the state, Jorge continues to care deeply about his home country, the Dominican Republic, where hard work, passion, and baseball are central to the culture. In fact, millions saw this firsthand Sunday night in the World Baseball Classic, with a Dominican Republic team that is among the best in the world, despite having significantly fewer financial resources and less than 5% of the population of the United States.

We love and cherish our lasting friendship with Jorge, and the Home2First Foundation wouldn’t be what it is today without your inspiration and “lead by example” character. On behalf of the thousands of underprivileged kids who have benefited from H2F, we thank you and welcome you as an official United States citizen. The red, white, and blue, and the stars and stripes, look fantastic on you🇺🇸🎉
