Faith plays a bigger role in our business than any marketing strategy ever will…

If you’re a filmmaker, entrepreneur, business owner, creative or anyone out there building something that requires you to defy the normal default mode of life, at some point your tools and your knowledge, the limited ability as a human being runs out and that’s where faith in God comes in. I wouldn’t still be doing what I’m doing 10+ years later when I started way back in highschool if it wasn’t for God, I would’ve given up ages ago.

So get out there and make it happen and ask God to help you along the way, give the business over to him, because when the storms come you’re gonna need something supernatural beyond reasoning and beyond our human comprehension to rely on, I can promise you that.

Jesus loves you, accept him as your Lord and Saviour before it’s too late, give your life to him. It’ll be the best decision you ever make.

This is for the commercial filmmakers…
I decided to do a big process dump on our YouTube channel breaking down exactly how we produce all of our projects, the workflow we follow and how we keep things simple so we avoid any unnecessary complications and keep filmmaking something we all still enjoy at the end of the day… as James Clear once said: you will fall to the level of your systems…

So, if you’ve ever been stressed out trying to plan for a commercial production, and even though it’s only a 1-2 day shoot with a few variables it still feels like producing a full length feature film, I made this video specifically for you…happy pre prod!

This is a milestone in some ways and a wake up call in others, it’s bittersweet because sometimes i feel like a factory more than an artist but at the same time I’m incredibly grateful for the business we have, it’s an interesting thing to balance for sure,

so I sat down and decided to talk about it, if you want to watch just tap the link in our bio for our latest YouTube video.

If you’re a filmmaker, a creative, an entrepreneur or honestly just a human being... I want you to know you can trust God with everything. And sometimes that just looks like handing Him the day-to-day anxiety that floods your mind, especially in an industry like this one, especially when you’re running your own business.

If you don’t know Jesus, I want to invite you to accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Confess your sins, and give your life over to Him. The life after that isn’t necessarily easier, it might honestly be the craziest journey you’ve ever been on. But the difference is you’re no longer walking it alone. You’ve got the almighty God of the universe who’s there every step of the way, as you grow deeper in relationship with Him.

I can’t talk about running a production company without talking about the one who’s truly behind the scenes... and that’s God. There’s no version of this where we’ve done it on our own. Every time we’ve tried in our own strength, it’s ended in burnout and frustration.
It’s taken me years to figure out what actually trusting God looks like not just saying it, but really giving it up to Him in my heart, and letting the peace that surpasses all understanding come over me as I hand Him the chaos of running a business.

We really don’t talk enough about rest in the film industry and for so many years I thought I could just keep going and going, powering through the burnout that kept creeping in… until I couldn’t. That’s where God met me, right at the edge of collapse and helped me realize if I ever wanted to keep doing this I needed to give everything over to him and start pursuing a life based around faith, and balance trusting that even if I don’t take on as many clients as possible He’ll still provide.

The way I edit has changed a lot since when I first started, and I think I’ve figured out a technique that has helped me cut my editing time in half and waste way less time digging for clips and then retiming everything to music.
