#PREvent: But Better Beauty Like I always said, it is super exciting to see and learn about a beauty brand especially if it is a local, budding start-up. And But Better Beauty is that one. Born out of the realisation that skincare should not be overly complicated, skipping multiple potent active ingredients, and adopting a less is more approach. But not just any less is more routine. No. But Better Beauty (BBB) is science-backed, loved by doctors and editors, and tested by actual non-remunerated people to give an honest take and feedback on the products, we all welcomed the first line of BBB, aptly named Brighter Beginnings. Iโ€™m gonna go test these 3 BBB products first before circling back for a proper review, but in the meantime, go check out the brand! Fun fact: But Better Beauty was founded by a pair of industry veterans who also run a successful, multi-award winning beauty media company @DailyVanity ๐Ÿ›’: Shop But Better Beauty on Shopee and TikTop Shop ๐Ÿท๏ธ PR/ Provided complimentary by But Better Beauty

It was a pretty good Saturday morning when a bunch of us gathered at Ascott Hotel for a little demo and workshop hosted by the brandโ€™s co-director, Tsuda Marie. A translator was with her to help co-host. The brand Tsuda Cosmetics was founded by Dr. Tsuda Setsuko, a practicing dermatologist with several decades under her belt. Together with her pharmacist daughter, Tsuda Marie, the multi award winning brand, Tsuda Cosmetics, was born. The brand is so well received that over 100 magazines featured them annually! Now, thatโ€™s something. Rooted in dermatological expertise, Tsuda Cosmetics promise to offer products with ingredients that have been proven to be safe and does not include unnecessary additives. Dr. Tsuda also stresses the importance of taking early action against dermatoporosis - a condition where the skin becomes thin due to factors such as aging, UV exposure, or prolonged steroid use. Their latest product, the Repair Serum Lotion is something you guys should have a look at, especially the before and after, and the improvement percentage. Iโ€™m sold right there and then. ๐Ÿ›’: Shop Tsuda Cosmetics at Metro Paragon, Tangs VivoCity, Hands, Welcia-BHG, Shopee, and brand website ๐Ÿท๏ธ PR/ Provided complimentary by Be Me Japan (SG)

Admiring the contemporary artwork by Andreฬ Saraiva that is exhibiting in Isetan The Space @ Isetan Shinjuku Main, it gives me some relief from the vexing morning i had with FedEx and Amazon. I quite like his Mr. A work - you know, the one with the O X wink and a big smile. ๐Ÿ˜ #AndreSaraiva #IsetanShinjuku #LoveGraffiti #Art #MrA #theLIONtravels #Japan #VisitJapan

Imagine these scenarios: 1. You hopped onto the trend bandwagon, used everything that went viral and messed up your skin. 2. You just did an in-office treatment and you need something simple and gentle. 3. You just started your skincare journey and feel overwhelmed with the choices available. Whatever the reasons are, a new brand just entered the chat. ๐™šฬŒ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ฅ๐™ช๐™ง, a brand under the NAOS group, is finally available in Singapore and their brand philosophy is something I feel everyone should hear. Jean-Noeฬˆl Thorel, a pharmacist and founder of NAOS, understand that all skins are unique and there is simply no one size fits all. He wants us to strip back the excessive and complicated routines and viral products and just โ€œGive your skin exactly what it needs. Nothing more, nothing lessโ€. Therefore, in the eฬˆtat pur brand, there are 2 distinctive categories: Pure Skincare, and Pure Actives. Pure skincare is just that, pure skincare items without actives. Cleanser cleanse, moisturizer moisturize. This guarantees a perfect match to all skin types. Then, thereโ€™s the Pure Actives. These are true intentional, functional actives to treat the skin issues you may be having at that point in time. Skin breaking out? Thereโ€™s a 2% Salicylic Acid. Skin feeling dry? Thereโ€™s a 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid. Skin feeling flushed, irritated? Thereโ€™s a 2% Enoxolone for it. In essence, you start with the basics and then treat it with the actives as and when it is needed, because why would you want to over-treat every single day when your skin does not need it? Nothing more, nothing less.

Then we met Charlotte! Yes, thatโ€™s a play on the brand name and I will not stop. Throwing back to last Tuesday where Charlotte Cho, cofounder of Soko Glam and author of two bestselling books, introduced her own line of skincare under the brand Then I Met You. Described as a multi-sensorial experience, Charlotte placed high priority in that direction and it is something she is so proud of. The scent, the texture, the ingredients, to drawing inspirations from beauty rituals and practices from ancient wisdom. Then I Met You is not a fast beauty brand. Instead, it is a slow, purposeful and intimate one. Products that you will แ„Œแ…ฅแ†ผ (๐˜‘๐˜ฆ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ) with. ๐™…๐™š๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ, a Korean cultural value, is all about the deep and strong familiar connection you have for someone, something, or somewhere that develops overtime. Core to the brand, Then I Met You encourage you to observe and practice ๐˜ซ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ in your daily life. Then I Met You will be available at Sephora from April. You may also be interested to read both of her books, ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™‡๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™ก๐™š ๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™ค๐™  ๐™ค๐™› ๐™Ž๐™ ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐˜พ๐™–๐™ง๐™š and ๐™๐™๐™š ๐™‡๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™ก๐™š ๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™ค๐™  ๐™ค๐™› ๐™…๐™š๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ today.
