The Inner Table - The art of living well 🎙️ This is the podcast for people who want to live fully, not perfectly 🍷✨

Earlier this week, I made my way to the London Century Club to celebrate the launch of the podcast and its two brilliant founders. As the sun dipped over the city, we soaked in rooftop views, great wine, and even better company.

Hosted by wine expert Libby Brodie and subconscious specialist Anna Lancaster, the podcast brings together voices from hospitality, lifestyle, and wellbeing to explore what balance, pleasure, and intentional living really look like in the real world.

“Because wellbeing isn’t just about what you remove, it’s about what you choose to include.”

New episodes every week, go check it out on Apple Podcasts or wherever you usually listen 🎧 @theinnertablepodcast

The Fortnum and Masons Awards at The Royal Exchange is always the glitziest, most glamorous night of the year in the food calendar. And last night, after my 3 nominations - the very first for a food podcast back in 2017 for the delicious podcast, two for Cooking the Books, this 4th for The Food Foundation Podcast was particularly special because it was with my team.

Ok, so we didn’t win, but being shortlisted with two BBC programmes, The Food Chain and The Kitchen Cabinet, this plucky podcast featuring the loudest voices changing way we eat in the UK, and made on my dining room table can feel very proud indeed.

And as you can hear on this week’s Cooking the Books episode with Fortnums judge and previous winner, Marie Mitchell, all that glitters on this fairytale of a night is actually solid gold.

The shortlist pulls together another year of remarkable writing, programme making, photography and content creation. That Stuart Gillespie with his book ‘Food Fight’ and The Food Foundation podcast should be up there too says something really important about the conversations we’re having about food in the UK.

Shiny happy people, we may have been in this glorious party of peers, but the quality of food stories and campaigning for better is what will last longer than the hangovers.

Keep it up, party people. Throw your love around. Put it in the ground where the flowers grow.
