My Wisconsin hunt:

@ryanrmattson and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon. We only had a day and a half to make it happen. We had two private spots to hunt. One was loaded with birds. Tried to make a play on them throughout the day but had no luck. We played the waiting game and watched them roost. It was unfortunately across the road up in the ridge. But where we saw them strut was on our side.

We set up that next morning thinking no way these birds will fly down 250 plus yards but one single tom did after letting him know we where there when he was on the limb. He stood us up but when 4 other strutters came by to strut about 100 yards out, a lone hen split the difference then it was GAME OVER! 📷 @ryanrmattson

Eastern Montana shed hunt from this past weekend. Always good times with the boys. I only wish we had more time to get together. #shedhunting #shedcrazy

@rmatts_03 with his first call in. Second setup on opening day. Grey amp and the unleashed tube fooled him. #phelpsgamecalls #getemclose #makingelkcallsgreatagain
