Summer 26’ farewells
Danced with the devil and soaked up the sunshine. Jumped in Lake Michigan a whole lot, too. Celebrated friends and howled at the moon. Lots of seasons of life - enjoying this one before its gone

Northern Michigan stole my heart years ago and I don’t think she’s giving it back anytime soon🖤

Notes: 2025!!!

I learned a whole lot on this big floating rock we call home this year. Traveled, laughed, cried, danced and boogied, and so much more. Some takeaways, in no particular order:

This year was an incredible growth period for my career, shooting for brands like Huckberry, Patagonia, Altra Running, Gregory Pack, GoalZero, and others. The career as a creative is a slow burn. It’s taken a hell of a lot of work, luck, and privilege to get to where I’m at today. And I’m endlessly grateful for it.

I learned a lot about love and loss. What kind of work it takes to make a successful relationship work and how to show up as a partner and friend. I failed and walked away learning more than I ever thought I could have. Heartbreak really sucks, and yet, is one of the most important phenomenon we get to feel. Grief is such a strangely beautiful experience when you surrender yourself to it.

Therapy is great. To my homies who aren’t , go to fukn therapy! Movement is a necessity for a life long lived. Sauna is, too. Alcohol is poison and ignorance is bliss.

Fuck the self doubt. We’re leaving that in 2025, y’all! the only thing stopping you from being the best version of yourself, is yourself! It’s incredible what you can achieve when you put one foot in front of the other.

2026 is the year of loving unapologetically, lifting others and ourselves up. Tell your people you love them and be kind to yourself! For my boys friends, learn how to cry. It’s really important. Letting the feelings come and flow as needed, and giving the best we’ve got. Showing up to the conversation and enjoying living in the now.

That’s all I’ve got — hope ya’ll are pursuing happiness 🫶🏼

The coolest part about hunting for Native American rock art is that it’s a real-life treasure hunt. You never quite know where, and if you’ll find these ancient Petroglyphs. That’s exactly what made exploring around Fossil Falls so special for @ryanscottgers and me. After wandering the desert, we stumbled onto those incredible Coso petroglyphs, hidden gems that had withstood the test of time.

But it wasn’t just the rock art that amazed us. The whole landscape is shaped by an ancient cinder cone volcano that once poured lava flows across the area, carving out the dramatic formations you see at Fossil Falls. And yes, the Owens River used to flow right through here, helping shape this otherworldly terrain before it was diverted.

Finding those ancient Petroglyphs , with the volcano’s legacy and the river’s history all around us, made the whole adventure absolutely unforgettable

🪶 Hidden deep in the mountains of Baja California Sur, the Great Mural rock art tells stories painted thousands of years ago by the ancestors of the Cochimí people. These massive cave paintings—some over 7,000 years old—show humans, animals, and sacred rituals in vibrant red, black, and yellow. A timeless gallery in the desert. 🌄✨
