And so it begins… @for_keeps.shop

This endeavour adds to the list of life changes, challenges, adventures, connections, and growth over the past year. And with it, I welcome all of this into my future too, as I become an entrepreneur once again 🔮

I can’t say for certain what lead me here. I guess a bunch of beautiful Moroccan rugs, a For Rent sign, looking to land in and connect with the community of Tofino, a passion for design and craft, and a love of beautiful and timeless pieces to help create a home… just to name a few ✨

I’m beyond excited to swing the doors open for a very pillowy soft opening today. A grand opening will follow later this fall, as I still have much to learn about being a shop owner! Store hours will be Friday to Sunday 11am-5pm to start.

This shop truly would not have been possible without the amazing @ryantaron This man saved the day by making time to take this build on, and he saved *many* more days along the way by rising to every challenge and continually surpassing expectations, and always with a smile. Ryan is equal parts creative genius and skilled carpenter, both of which were invaluable to this project. The result are fixtures that are equally as beautiful and timeless as the pieces they hold. Thank you so very much Ryan 🫶🏼

Shameless plug for both of our small businesses. We appreciate your support ❤️ @for_keeps.shop @tofino_shed_co

Found this little time capsule. Just a bunch of youngsters running a restaurant. Great food, great friends, and great hair. What an amazing time to be in Tofino. Love all of you!

Here is a big throwback to our first few years open. This classic was taken in Live To Surf's old home, recognize the store front? That is where the amazing @chocolatetofino is located today!

Throwing it back to 2017, when it all started! The first year was a ruckus but so much fun! People had to hike two hours just to get to the bottom of a questionably safe banked slalom course but at least it provided amazing views. More than 100 people showed up to shred, surf and skate. We got together with @reddfishrestoration and planted a bunch of native species of different shrubs and ferns at one of their stream restoration sites. Back then, we didn’t know that a bunch of skaters, surfers and snowboard bums along with amazing partners like @patagonia would be able to raise more than 50 000$ over the next 5 years! Not only it was greatly educational for all of us but the proceeds we raised could go directly towards restoring local habitat and our playgrounds. We are so grateful for all of the participants, volunteers and partners for showing up every year to join the fun and contribute to a cause we can all get behind. ❤️🌟 #westcoasttripleplank
