Rylan Dye participated in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday
afternoon.

At the Division Ill Indoor Championships, Dye was one of five competitors to tie for 14th place after clearing 1.98 meters (6-06).

So proud of you Rylan! ⚔️

It was a fight to get to nationals, and today we left it all out on the track… Rylan matched his PB and took some attempts at 2.09m! It was awesome! 11th in the nation!!

I am so incredibly proud of you, Rylan! From the first moment you stepped onto the runway last year to your last jump of the season today, you have grown so much. Excited to see what the future holds for you!

It’s not too often you have the opportunity to witness in real-time the development of lifelong friendships, especially ones rooted in shared values. It’s been an honor to be able to witness the formation of this friendship that will continue to serve them the rest of their athletic careers. When nationals got hard, the friendships formed carried them through until the end.

Hardware was won, and people jumped their heart out. We talked about what we did well, where we could improve, and the lessons we learned along the way. They listened to each other patiently as each of them expressed their successes, their frustrations, and their experience as a whole at this meet. I feel lucky to have been a part of that.

It is always a privilege to coach athletes at the elite level. Rylan did great and learned a lot at his first NCAA nationals this past Saturday… just making it to the meet required growth, not only athletically but personally. Watching him develop in both aspects has been the most rewarding part of this entire experience!! Extremely proud of him!! I am also extremely proud of Missy and Aubrey for rocking their first nationals… it was also an honor watching them grow as athletes and people throughout this experience.

Jobs not finished… more work to do in outdoor!!!
