I had so much fun celebrating the grand opening of @the.house.of.moments in Brookings! 📸🛋️

The House of Moments is both a creative photography studio AND event space owned by @moments.with.morgan.g !! As a titleholder, I am always on the lookout for a location to host events, and a fun space to do a photoshoot— to finally have a space like this in Brookings is AMAZING! For anyone hoping to capture a moment in time or host their next event, look no further than The House of Moments!

Congratulations on this accomplishment, Morgan! I am so excited for you and this new endeavor of yours! 💌 xoxo

Miss SDSU Mini-Vlog! 👑💙💛🐰

Now that our newest SDSU titleholders have introduced themselves, I wanted to post some of the sweetest moments from Miss SDSU day!

Miss SDSU will always hold a special place in my heart. I won my very FIRST Miss America local title at the Miss SDSU competition— Miss McCrory Gardens 2024. It was a year of learning, serving, and growing into the person I was meant to become. Coming back to volunteer as a former titleholder in the @misssdsuorg felt like coming home 💙✨

Congratulations to the newest titleholders and welcome to the Miss South Dakota sisterhood! With loyal hearts so true 💙💛

National Depression & Mental Health Screening Month 🧠🫶🏼🫂

While doing some research on the impact of mental health in women with hyperthyroidism, I learned that October is National Depression & Mental Health Screening Month. Fitting that this awareness month also happens to occur over midterm season. 👩🏽‍💻📚✍🏼

A little message to all my fellow students— whether you’re still in high school, in your undergrad, or finding your way toward a Master’s/Doctoral degree— life will continue even if you don’t do well on one exam. Your worth is not measured in grades, academic success, or degree level. All we can do is our best and make an effort to be better than we were yesterday.

If you’re reading this and happen to be struggling, my DMs are always open. You are seen, you are heard, and you are valued beyond measure. Let’s chat 💬💌

Insect Festival with McCrory Gardens! 🐞🐛

Every time I earn a new title, I kick off my year of service by attending an event at McCrory Gardens in Brookings. The McCrory staff have been so supportive of my journey to Miss South Dakota, and for that I am so grateful! It was a beautiful day to learn about different types of insects and how they affect horticulture and agriculture here in our rural state of South Dakota.

Thank you @mccrorygardens for such a fun event and thank you @misssdsusd for inviting me! 🌸🫶🏼

Sponsor Shoutout! 📣

The Miss South Dakota Organization would not be what it is without the work of sponsors and donors. Each Miss West River titleholder’s crowning package was made possible by people, businesses, and other organizations that simply want to see young women succeed— and I am so thankful for their generosity! 💌

Thank you so much to Courtney Adamson for these adorable tote bags that came with my Miss Sandhills crowning package! If you know me, you know that I can never have enough bags and purses! 👜✨🫶🏼

BACK to being a JACK! 💙💛🐰

Today I officially begin taking graduate classes at @ehssdstate !! I’m so excited to be on my way to an M.Ed in Counseling and Human Resource Development with a specialization in Student Affairs. And the best part? My first year is COMPLETELY COVERED by the scholarships I’ve earned through the @missamericasscholarship Foundation and @misssouthdakotaorg 😆

Of course I had to celebrate this milestone with a “first day of school” picture to send to my mom… and my favorite blue top from @shop_socialight 🩵

Happy first day of classes, Jackrabbits! Here’s to a FANTASTIC academic year ahead! 👩🏽‍🏫✏️📚
