Today we’re celebrating Ryne Lynch and Brand New Youth.

Ryne has spent five years in youth ministry, all five at Brand New Church.

This summer, their team made the decision to split Jr. High and Sr. High camps for the first time. They believed creating two separate experiences would allow them to better reach students exactly where they are.

And God moved in an incredible way.

109 students accepted Christ at camp this summer.

But even in a season of growth, God has been teaching Ryne to shepherd well what He has already entrusted to them—to slow down, be more intentional, know their students personally, invest deeply in their leaders, and focus less on simply reaching more people and more on faithfully caring for the people already in their ministry.

What are they believing God for next?

More space. They are hurting for it.

And Ryne’s encouragement to other youth pastors is something worth holding onto:

“Don’t get so focused on growing the ministry that you forget to shepherd the students God has already entrusted to you. Be faithful with who’s in front of you, love them well, and trust God with the growth.”

Honestly, I didn’t realize how much I missed camp.

Coming out of this week I’m rejuvenated and inspired! Jesus ain’t done working.

Beach Camp is where God first started drawing me in 2017 as a student. I’m honored to be a part of creating moments for the next gen to encounter God Almighty in a brand new way nearly a decade later!

This year at camp God taught me that my calling is so simple. Love God, love others. Serve God, serve others.

It’s so easy to over complicate faith and what leadership looks like. This week I kept it simple, i’m going to love and serve God while loving and serving others. Loving and serving God while also His people isn’t a profound thought….but it’s easier said than done sometimes.
We can tend to get so caught up in “Christianity culture” that we forget Christ. We want to do the works and do the typical stuff to follow the crowd, but forget the meaning behind it all.
Sometimes leadership literally means taking a step back and letting the shorter person behind you stand before you. It can be noticing the person who needs help but isn’t confident in asking, empowering a girl who has a similar testimony to yours, picking up trash that isn’t yours and finding a place to serve, or putting someone’s needs before yours. Loving Jesus shouldn’t be a performance. Loving Jesus and serving him is so personal.

Thank you Jesus for the ability to love and serve you and your people 🩵 and for the best last camp!

The best decision I’ve ever made. 🤍🌊✝️

Today I chose to show the world what Jesus has already done in my heart. This is the start of a lifelong journey of trusting Him, following Him, and living for His glory. Forever thankful for His grace. 🤍✝️
