We are thrilled to announce that Keswick Cycle will be supporting the Philly Bike Ride again this year!

We’ll be there with the van running SAG and we’ll have a couple of our techs riding the course providing mechanical support & quick fixes for riders. This has always been one of our favorite events of the year and we’re pumped to be doing it again!

In case you didn’t know, the @phillybikeride is a 20-mile social ride on fully car-free, closed roads past the city’s best-known landmarks.

🗓️ Saturday, October 17
📍Starts at Ben Franklin Parkway & N 22nd
🚲 Open to all ages and skill levels
🎉 Ends with a finish festival

Ride passes are still available, we can’t wait to see you on the course!

Taking a moment to shout out my friend Fitz at Keswick Cycles in Glenside, who was so kind and helpful in getting my bike ready for AIDS Life/Cycle. He talked me through different options for making my ride as comfortable as possible and saved me literally *hundreds* of dollars on upgrades, replacements, and spare parts. I am so grateful and appreciative of the support! 🙏

Additional thanks to my sweet friend of 20+ years, Rachel, who did the actual wrenching. The bike is riding smooth as 🧈.

The Tero X 6.0 is the sleeper in the specialized line up. Not going to lie, we were a bit confused by this bike when it released but who is complaining about a full suspension mountain bike that goes 28 mph!
The higher spec suspension and positioning on the bike makes it very capable on trail as it resembles cross country geometry but with some burly suspension. Fenders and racks make it a great commuter and they don’t get in the way while shredding the local singletrack. It has become our favorite E-bike in the specialized line up. Follow along with Hoover and Fitz as they commute into Glenside. Did we mention it even comes with a kickstand?

A lot of photos go unpublished on The Trellis but they shouldn’t be inaccessible.

Starting now, you can access galleries chock full of never-before-seen photos for most of our stories. All you have to do is subscribe on the website - thetrellisphilly.com (link in bio).

It’s still all free and if there’s a photo of you in the galleries I want you to be able to save and share it. Please tag us! If you need a higher resolution copy for some reason, let me know and I will help you out.

Thanks for supporting The Trellis! Again, please subscribe and tell a friend. These are the best ways to help the site grow and bring you more and better content 🧡

Last weekend was my second @unpavedpennsylvania in the books! It was a chilly yet fun-filling weekend with the @phillybikeexpo squad, Philly friends and other familiar faces. This event was a great way to wrap up the race season. From long gravel climbs to fast chunky descends, beautiful fall foliage views to delicious pirogies and of course the amazing volunteers keeping the energy high, this event delivers it all.

Special shout out to Bobby & Dan for the great company throughout the race course!
