Together with @S33mba, we took to the streets of Amsterdam for an afternoon of photography, drawing and experimenting with different ways of seeing.

Thanks to @polaroid for making this creative afternoon possible and giving everyone the chance to experiment with instant photography.

From capturing moments on the streets to slowing down for a drawing session, turning our Polaroid photos into one-of-a-kind pieces.

A big thank you to @S33mba for sharing his creative practice, and to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon what it was.

S33MBA Exhibition, Artist Talk & Photo Walk

We are pleased to announce that artist S33MBA’s exhibition will be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The exhibition will explore the theme 本能, Instinct., which was developed in collaboration with Visual Collect.

An artist talk with S33MBA will take place on the opening day, and we are also pleased to announce a photo walk event with the artist.

About the Artist

For approximately ten years, artist @s33mba has documented Korea’s diverse music scenes and festivals, capturing the fleeting connections and energy that emerge between audiences and artists.

Working primarily in spaces such as music events and festivals, where sensory experiences and emotions are heightened, the artist has focused on the inner states and instinctive desires that emerge within these environments, capturing both people and spaces as part of the same moment.

His photographs do not simply remain as images intended to reproduce or document a particular moment. Instead, they capture a more instinctive sense of human nature through people who move freely, pursue their desires, form connections, and leave traces of their existence.

For S33MBA, photography is not simply a means of documenting or proving something, but a way of observing and expressing the freedom and instincts inherent in human beings.

Through the people, spaces, and fleeting moments he has encountered throughout his practice, this exhibition asks us to consider the traces we instinctively leave behind.

You’re invited to 本能, Instinct.

For nearly ten years, @s33mba has photographed Korea’s music scenes and festivals, capturing the freedom, connection and instinctive moments that emerge when people come together.

本能, Instinct. explores something deeply human: our desire to express ourselves, connect with others and leave traces of our existence behind.

The work comes together in a book published by @visual.collect, an independent bookstore and publisher based in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Working across art, music, fashion and culture, Visual Collect curates and produces publications that offer new perspectives on contemporary visual culture.

Coming all the way from Korea, S33MBA will present 本能, Instinct. at Analogue.

October 10 · 20:00 - 23:00
Zeedijk 80, Amsterdam

We’re also organizing a photowalk with @s33mba, sponsored by @polaroid. More details coming soon.
