@backcountryhunters #rende2023 There are no words. The energy was electric. My feet hurt. These are the only 2 pictures I took the whole time.

This first photo was taken four years ago by @kcbadger in Sedona AZ on Valentine’s Day. I was living in MN, and KC was still in AZ. I got off of work to Kc texting me about the iron fly happening in phx Arizona and how I had to be there. He was saying this with joking undertones of course cause we didn’t get to see each other often and who would be able to leave work and fly from MN to AZ the day of. .... Well he might have underestimated me cause that’s just what I did. I drove straight to the airport and booked a stand by ticket and got to AZ just in time for the @pigfarmink iron fly and to spend the next day (which was Valentine’s Day) with @kcbadger and a bunch of fly fishing dudes in Sedona.
Our whole relationship has been based around fly fishing and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Love you KC. •

Skagit heads, tungsten tips, and a little hope. It’s looking and feeling a lot like winter. Good luck y’all!

Taking these gents(Lowa Tibet) out for a test drive tomorrow. Little bit different than what I am used to, but I am definitely willing to try them out. #dialedinhunter #hunt_az #firstlitehunting #bowhunting #bearhunting #arizonabearhunting #gameplannermaps #provider_life #huntbackcountry #huntingblog #lowatibet

Optimus crux lite update! So far, really liking this little stove. Easy to use, seems pretty sturdy and well built, and lightweight. The one downfall that it has, in my experience, has been it's performance in the wind. Apparently, they make a windscreen for it, but I don't have it yet. Until then, I have just been trying to block the wind best I can, lol. Other than that, I'm stoked on it. #dialedinhunter #hunt_az #firstlitehunting #bowhunting #bearhunting #arizonabearhunting #gameplannermaps #provider_life #huntingblog #backpackhunting #huntbackcountry

Thanks to everyone who came out for last night's pint night. We had a great time talking with @azgfd's Tracy Stephens about how we can help our native trout. The above pictures are from @transylwader who went out with Az BHA's @s_clemens to catch our native's a few weeks back. Pictured are an #apachetrout and a #gilatrout which are only found in Arizona and New Mexico.
