Somewhere between the candlelight, the costumes, the laughter, the late nights, and the stories we love so dearly, you realize the magic was never really in the books.

It was here. It was us.

Connor and Maddie, I hope you know how extraordinary it is to watch you build something like this. What began with a shared love of stories has become a place where people are welcomed exactly as they are, handed a little bit of magic, and reminded that growing up never meant we had to stop believing in it.

I am endlessly proud of the two of you—not only for the beautiful things you create, but for how you create them. With so much heart. So much intention. So much care for every person who steps into the worlds you dream up.

Thank you for letting me stand beside you, play pretend with you, laugh until it hurts with you, and watch another impossible little idea become real.

The IC Retreat may be over, but I think that’s the beautiful thing about the worlds you create: we never really leave them empty-handed. We carry pieces of them home with us—in new friendships, inside jokes, photographs, memories, and that tiny spark that makes the real world feel a little more enchanted than it did before.

To Connor and Maddie, and to this wonderful, wildly magical little family you’ve built:

And I will always, always be grateful to be part of the story.

There are no words to describe the pure magic this past week produced.
I am in absolute awe of the community that has taken me in with open arms for the past 3 years and has completely changed my life for the better. So many creatives in one space that let their light shine and opened realms that one dreams about.
