Rest days count too

The Rest Day Collection lands on 23rd October. Three hoodies made for the days in between: the slow mornings, the post-run coffees and the days your legs (or your head) need a break.

Run, Breathe, Repeat

This is one of the softest, coziest, warmest hoodie I've ever had the pleasure to model.

@sadmilesdan had to fight me to get me to return it 🤭

This colour is Mint. (Also matches SadMiles socks 😜)

Other colours are available Burgundy and Sherbet Lemon

🖤 Keep running, Keep healing 🖤

@sadmilesclub x @theolddriftwellness run club 🏃🏽‍♀️

The most perfect start to a Saturday! 5km around the lake followed by an hour of contrast therapy & a whole lot of giggles!

The last time we were here I’d only met @georgiaojones once before jumping into a cold bath together 🤣.. several races, a park run with Dan in a dress, a walk up Pen Y Fan, countless giggles & endless support later & I feel like I’ve known these guys forever!

Also this mornings 5km made me realise just how far I’ve come, chatting away comfortably without gasping 🤣

Still not over how good yesterday at @swanseabay10k was!

Absolutely loved meeting everyone, spreading the message of moving for you mind and the looks on people’s faces when we handed out the notes from a stranger!

Huge amount of thanks to both @nateymatey_ & @georgiaojones who helped me for the day!

Thanks to @macinsightphotography for some of the photos!

Yesterday’s post started quite the conversation, and rightly so.

As women, there are so many times we don’t feel safe running alone. It’s incredibly sad that something as simple as putting our trainers on and heading out for a run can come with that worry.

But today I want to talk about the other side of that conversation.

The amazing men in the running community 🩷

The men who make you feel safe.

The ones who check you got home okay.
The ones who run alongside you when you’re struggling.
The ones who cheer just as loudly for your PB as they do for your first 5K.
The ones who genuinely want to see you succeed.

The men who root for you without motive.

And I feel so lucky that I’ve found so many of those men through @sadmilesclub

A special shout out to @sadmilesdan @snappybeardrunning @keeran_st @nateymatey_ @crimlis_88 @calum201291 and so many others who have made running feel like such a safe and welcoming space for me 🥹

You’ve celebrated my wins, encouraged me when I’ve doubted myself, kept me going when running has felt hard and, most importantly, you’ve always made me feel like I belong.

& to all the Sad Miles boys, thank you. 🩷

Thank you for cheering me on, for believing in me, for making me laugh, for waiting when I’m struggling and for celebrating every little win with me.

Thank you for showing me that running can be competitive without ever having to feel like a competition.

You make running feel like a community.

And I’m bloody grateful to be part of it 🥹

Yesterday reminded me how much work there still is to do when it comes to women feeling safe.

But today I want to celebrate the men who are already doing their bit to make the running community a kinder, safer place.

To the good ones, we see you 🩷

And I’d love to hear yours

Tag the men in your running community who make it feel a little safer, kinder and more welcoming 🏃🩷

The one where @sadmilesclub Dan wore a dress to celebrate his 50th @parkrunuk (& I managed to flash most of Swansea Bay 🤣)

The recommended audio for this post says it all 🤣

The views 🙌🏻

It’s scary how well @sadmilesdan pulled this dress off 🤣🤣

All smiles

Park run tourists (with little miss in tow 💕)

Swansea Bay has my ♥️

The tan line says it all how short my shorts were 🤣🤣

Post run matcha 🍵 (just think of @franc_runs eating grass these days 🤣)

The short shorts 👀

When you find a @sadmilesclub smiles & miles sticker in the bottom of your bag 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Medal Monday 🏅

The final medal for the @aspirexevents Bay 5km @thebayaquathlon series & the 7th @aspirexevents medal added to the collection (can you tell we love one of their races in this house 😉)

Of all the races I’ve done this series has been my favourite! The vibes are always on point & being surrounded by the @sadmilesclub gang is honestly the best ♥️

🏃‍♂️💀 10K PB. BANK HOLIDAY. SWANSEA. DONE. 💀🏃‍♂️

Turns out spending your Bank Holiday voluntarily running 10K isn’t completely unhinged… especially when you come away with a NEW 10K PB! 🤭🔥

Absolutely class morning in Swansea taking on the @jointherun.uk Virtual 10K alongside the main man @sadmilesdan 🖤

The legs complained.
The lungs filed a formal grievance.
But the PB said KEEP FUCKING GOING. 😂

Another run in the bank.
Another PB smashed.
Another little reminder that all those miles are actually paying off. 🥹

Massive thanks to Dan for sharing the suffering — wouldn’t have wanted to spend 10K questioning my life choices with anyone else. 😂🖤

SAD MILES. GOOD PEOPLE. BIG PBs.
