Last night I had pure joy of seeing my work as a stunt coordinator in @sweatsexcorpus on the big screen, which I was lucky enough to stunt coordinate for the singular @coreypierno who prep’d the film.

The film is incredibly beautiful and intensely provocative and I am so proud of the work we accomplished and the art we have unfurled on the world! Congratulations to the wonderful team @corrinieo @jeffwahlbrg @michaelvlamis @brodie.townsend and everyone involved!

Special shout out to my one stunt performer @triever.sherwood who doubled with aplomb!

Included are some photos from last nights NYC premiere at New Fest and some BTS from our shoot last summer in Yonkers NY.

Posted again, this time without spoilers!

One year ago, SKIN took home the Silver Audience Award at @fantasiafestival. Today, it’s officially out in the world! 🔪✨

You can watch the full short film on Youtube via @watch_alter!

Insecure about her appearance, Kanika visits a mysterious skin lightening center.

This film comes from a deeply personal place exploring colorism, body horror, and the toxic pressure to lighten your skin. Seeing it out in the open on Alter means everything.

Link in bio to watch the full short!

merci @fantasiafestival for supporting corpus for its world premiere ~ I wouldn’t have this film as my directorial debut without every one of these people pictured and the support of many more who aren’t

we played with an amazing short called @needlethefilm directed by @sofieroses

thank you all for making my first film special <3

and shoutout @the_catherine_wheel whose tracks are in the film and whose original merch is near impossible to get your hands on but… managed it with the help of @amandaseymour013 & @ornatevintageco

miss @taylor_conrod helped me get my fits right and stepped the fuck up as bts photo and video while @shshshshshshshane covered us on the carpet

Club Joon has always been a love letter to little Omid, and to all the Iranian friends he dreamed of having.

I think about the little kid who would stay up way too late at my parents’ dorehs, sitting in the corner listening to the music, watching everyone dance, laugh, and enjoy being together. Those nights made me fall in love with our culture and the feeling of community, even before I had the words for it.

I never imagined those memories would one day become @theclubjoon

I’m so grateful for what this community has grown into. Every event reminds me how special it is to have a room full of people celebrating our culture, making new friends, and dancing to the songs so many of us grew up with.

Dance has always been a way for me to connect, celebrate, and simply be present. Thank you for helping create a space that feels like home.

I hope you’ll join us next Thursday, July 30, at our most immersive venue yet. Come support incredible Iranian DJs, sing along to the music we all know and love, and be part of another unforgettable night.

Ticket link in bio. See you on the dance floor. ❤️
