Didn't host my usual Ring of Daisies Open Mic this year cause of our cancelled stormy Saturday but I did: read thesis poetry aloud with my @brooklynwritersfoundry baes, commune with magical poets, meet Juniper the turtle, get advice from @nifmuhammad about my Milwaukee bucks heartbreak & boogie to @jivepoetic DJing vinyl bangers as the sun set over Governor's Island & lady Liberty watched on. So PoFest does what she always does, bring singular people together as a community in a way like no other, for free & to be free, if only for a day 💖

venezia croatia slovenia 2 months ago for the opening week of the biennale.

remembering….the romance of every meal, multichannel video works stationed in the old church, the ramp to sea at the nudist colony, the kind horses we met on the road to ljubljana when we pulled over as i was mid-allergy attack, my exhilarating run along the coastline of rovinj on the only morning it wasn’t pouring rain. matthew wong’s solo show at palazzo tiepolo passi and nearly every pavilion (ESP Italy, Denmark, Mongolia). missing… the aimless wandering through the streets of each city, never quite knowing where we’d end up or who we’d find.

Documenting the best fritto misto of my life in Bay Shore, NY. That and an exquisitely simple tuna tartare & Caesar salad. Friends dabbled in bone marrow x clam experience, tarragon cheddar buns, and a real mélange of oysters. There are cathedrals everywhere….
