I had the privilege of meeting the big dawg himself. So cool to show my tool chest and bench to the man who literally wrote the book on them. What a way to close out this chapter of my woodworking journey. #handworks #anarchiststoolchest

This has us wanting to ditch work and make something. Here's some Monday inspiration for you our dear followers. Epic bench @sage.eckman

Hey FJ & Team,

I saw your recent post requesting customer photos and wanted to submit a few of mine. I've attached photos of my workbench and chest featuring your vise hardware and Czeck Edge tools.

I recently rebuilt my dad's old bench, the one I grew up working at, into a proper Roubo AWB. I sistered additional material onto the legs to make them more substantial, drawbored to a new top made of Douglas Fir, and added the Glide Leg Vise with a maple chop. I also constructed the 24" Moxon vise using your hardware specifically to dovetail my tool chest, and it made the process a joy. I'm truly enjoying the quality of the hardware and the tools.

Please feel free to use any of these images and text on your social media platforms. You can tag me using the following handles:

The majority of my antique hand tools are inherited from my grandfathers on both sides of the family. Over the years I have unlocked new skills and acquired tools with proceeds from my custom furniture business. Finally I have an arsenal of hand tools that can accomplish most woodworking tasks, but there is still room for more tools, and much to learn. #handtoolwoodworking #worldtreedesign #woodshop #anarchiststoolchest

Ripping 2 inches of rock maple with my track saw because I'm here to build, not break a sweat. #worldtreedesign #customfurniture #ts75 #festool

I kept it simple and authentic on my hand tool chest. I splurged on hand-forged hardware made by an American blacksmith, and a brass lock made in England rather than going for the cheap Chinese (slave labor) stuff. I finished the exterior with real milk-paint and odies oil. However I did leave the top of the apron unpainted to show off a bit more wood grain while the chest is in use. #anarchiststoolchest #woodisgood #handtoolwoodworking #worldtreedesign

This past year has been one of incredible change and growth. I turned 30, married the love of my life, and made the big decision to relocate from Colorado to North Liberty, Iowa—my wife’s hometown, where we’re excited to establish our new life together. While our location has changed, my passion for crafting high-quality, custom hardwood furniture remains stronger than ever. I’m thrilled to let you know that we’re back up and running, and our custom furniture is now available for nationwide delivery.

For those of you who’ve been with me since the beginning, your support has been the foundation of this journey. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to create pieces that become a meaningful part of my clients homes. And I am excited to connect with more kindred souls who appreciate great design and craftsmanship.

If you’ve been thinking about a new project—or just want to say hello—I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out anytime. The updated portfolio (link in bio) contains some of my latest works that I have not yet had the chance to share with you all.

Here’s to friends old and new, and to new beginnings!
