Harborfest dump 📸🚢
It’s the end of summer, and we are looking back at one of Norfolk’s most iconic weekends. Sail250, Juneteenth, and Harborfest’s 50th anniversary all in ONE.

10+ years of telling Harborfest’s story, and this one might be our favorite yet 🫶

A summer was had! The highlight was definitely our trip to Virginia. From the beautiful tall ships in Norfolk to ziplining, river rafting, partying at the racetrack and exploring Bell Isle in Richmond... then riding the coasters at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and wrapping our adventures on the gorgeous waterfront in Alexandria, it was a trip to remember! Thank you @pattilhosking & the @tbexevents fam for the amazing memories. ⚓🚣‍♀️🎢

Last summer, Festevents brought us on to build the creative strategy for Sail250. Cool project, but that’s usually where our story ends.

Most of the time you build the strategy, hand it off, and never actually see it happen. After nearly a year’s worth of buildup, we got to see it all the way through.

This time we got invited onto the Parade of Sail itself — a pilot boat out from Cape Henry to meet the Capitán Miranda, a tall ship out of Uruguay. Started at 6am, rainy, foggy, kind of a mess. Five hours later, sailing into downtown Norfolk, sun out, learned so much about the crew, the history & culture, my own family along for the ride.

Just stoked we got to be part of this one, family in tow.

First time in Norfolk. Won't be the last.
Salt in the air. Tall ships on the water. A city that's been waiting for a moment like this.
Three days watching a place show me exactly who it is. Glass art hiding in the corners of a 1912 building. A battleship you can walk the decks of. Sixty ships from twenty nations pulling into one harbor to mark two hundred and fifty years. Fireworks over the water and a whole city standing there together.

You come for the ships. You leave with the feeling.
Huge thank you to @visitnorfolkva for the invite, and to every spot that made this trip what it was:

SAIL 250 ⛵️ events have officially come to an end. It was a full summer of traveling, from New Orleans⚜️ to NYC🗽 and finishing in Boston🦞. What an amazing, once in a lifetime event to be a part of.
Summer isn’t over yet though, stay tuned to see where we go next! #sail250 #america250 #tallships #sailboston #k9

A smashburger, a WWII battleship, front row views of the Sail250 fleet, and fireworks over the tall ships with Fitz and the Tantrums. Day two in Norfolk delivered.

Visit Norfolk packed this day with some of the best the city has to offer. Selden Market for lunch, Nauticus and the Battleship Wisconsin on the waterfront, dinner at Town Point Club overlooking the Elizabeth River, and Harborfest to close out the night. Norfolk is a nonstop flight from Houston and one of the most underrated weekend trips on the East Coast.

Save this one and follow along for the full Norfolk and Richmond series.

The All-Marine Soccer Team answered the call to compete in the @sail250va international 7v7 soccer tournament, that happened 20-21 June 2026 in Norfolk, VA, going 6-1 earning 🥈 Place!!

The Player’s dedication to the Marine Corps and to the sport of soccer is evident, as not only were they selected as part of an elite group of only 12 out of the approximate 180 players Marine Corps wide, they volunteered for and sacrificed their well-earned time off, holiday liberty period, and time that could otherwise be spent with their family, to join their fellow Marines to compete, and represent the All Marine Soccer Program on the international stage.

As @marines we win battles, as Players we must win matches!
