Wigwam 2026. Nine adults. Nine kids. Mathematically equal. Yet somehow completely outnumbered. 😂

Kayaks were capsized, kids fell out of trees, injuries were had but no bones broken... A fitting end to an ’80s-style summer. 🥰

As we begin to wrap up 8+ months of sailing Tingalayo, one of the things that made this journey truly unforgettable: the people we shared it with. So grateful for all the family and friends who came to visit us during our sail from Maine to Grenada and back; friends and family from home, old friends we were reunited with and new friends we made along the way. Every visit brought new memories, fresh perspectives, and plenty of laughs.

Thanks for being part of the adventure! ⛵️🌊☀️

Another Episode of The Morning Muster is out! We’re Cruising the Med! We talk with Will and Sarah of @hydrovane and @jillian.greenawalt aboard SV Mugup, who have just completed 14 months in the Med with their 3 kids exploring and enjoying the history, culture, food and kid boats! This is an informative episode with lots of info that applies to any cruising destination in general, but that’ll also surely make you want to set a course for the Med! Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas is a crew member that doesn’t sleep, eat or talk back but can steer you across an ocean. Please? 😝🎄🎅

I have a really bad habit of not developing my film until a year later but it’s also kind of nice because then it’s a complete surprise 📸🫶🏻

This film roll was all pics from sailing Sicily to Sardinia, sailing Martinique and a trip back to home soil 🌴🐚🥥

L I F E O N T H E O C E A N keeps us young at heart.

At Hydrovane we’re stoked for everyone out there doing it! Sailing dreams, realized. Here’s a glimpse of just a few.

Feel the freedom with Hydrovane:

⭐️ An independent self steering windvane

⭐️ Your best crew member: doesn’t eat, sleep or talk back

⭐️ Totally mechanical (ie, not a power hog like your autopilot)

⭐️ Not reliant on any other part of the boat (it’s also your emergency rudder)

⭐️ And the windier it gets, the better it performs. Bring it on!

Where has your Hydrovane steered you? ⛵️

Annapolis Sailboat Show 2025 ✔️

Enough said!

@myachtservices saved our show by letting us use their Hydrovane demo unit! Of course UPS decided to deliver our last box two days after the show ended. 😝🫠

A big thanks to @laurenlanders, @james.the.sailor.man & @classicmara_ for hanging out with us at the booth & chatting all things Hydrovane! 🤩

Also thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth or said hi whilst we were wandering the docks. It was great to see you all! ⛵️

S O M E people raise kids in cul de sacs.
These people raise them in anchorages.
🏴
Out here, math happens in knots and fuel ratios.
Recess is spearfishing. Life skills? That’s learning to unclog the head before breakfast. These kids grow up knowing how to drop an anchor, tie a bowline, and negotiate dinghy-sharing peace treaties like seasoned diplomats. They call multiple countries “home,” and think laundry machines are luxury items.

They’re not watching the world go by, they’re sailing through it.

This is what it looks like to raise world citizens.
