Artist Spotlight: Saj Issa

Palestinian-American artist Saj Issa works across ceramics and other mediums to explore cultural memory, identity, and the experience of living between places. Born in St. Louis and raised between the American Midwest and the West Bank, Palestine, her practice draws from these intersecting histories to create a visual language that is both deeply personal and culturally resonant.

Through ceramics, Issa transforms familiar forms and motifs into vessels for storytelling - bringing together craft, memory, and contemporary Palestinian experience.

Saj & Muthanna’s wedding was a masterclass in personal style. He even custom-designed his own suit because off-the-rack just wasn’t going to cut it for these two. That sage green double-breasted suit and bow tie combo against her lace, long-sleeved gown was the kind of pairing you don’t forget.

An incredible couple who clearly know exactly who they are, and they were made for each other.
