How many refills can I get?... 📍 Saku 4771 McClelland Rd 1415 Richmond, BC V6X 0M5 Episode 1 of eating Metro Vancouver katsu until I try katsu in Japan later this year. 📝 WE ORDERED: Chicken Thigh Katsu Curry [$29.50] Cheese Katsu [$29] 💭 MY THOUGHTS: I’ve been to Saku multiple times, and I’m always impressed by the food and service. The curry was also solid, but I made the mistake of drowning my katsu in it (did it for the video). Once the curry hits that crispy breading, the crunch disappears pretty quickly. I was aiming for more, but ended the meal with just 3 bowls of rice. My GF only got 1 refill, but they gave her a crazy amount... SAKU I have been obsessed with Japanese katsu ever since I came back from my Japan trip, so I’m SO happy Toronto opened up this spot 😭🤍 The portions here are honestly HUGE, and not to mention you get unlimited salad and soup, which is perfect for the chilly fall weather 🍜🍂 I LOVED the Zenbu Katsu, and truthfully, the sesame dressing they have on the side was sooo good. The Zenbu comes with a generous portion of all the different cuts of katsu, including pork loin, fillet, ebi, hotate, and 2 pieces of battered vegetable tempura 🥹 We got: • Zenbu Katsu 🥢 • Cheese Katsu 🧀 #saku #sakutoronto #torontoeats #yyzeats

Craving chicken? Then you absolutely have to try this combo! It has become my favorite ever since my cousin recommended this place to me. We come here at least once a month, and honestly, we love everything about it. The soup, the steamed rice, the toasted sesame seeds, the fresh salad with their house dressing—which I truly believe is their best-kept secret recipe—and of course, the chicken coated in that delicious sweet sauce… it’s enough to make your mouth water!
