Not Just a Candle… A Work of Art!

Something Extraordinary Is Brewing… ✨

A One-of-a-Kind Pottery & Candle-Making Experience

Some things simply can’t be mass-produced. 🤎

Join Two Chicks and a Flame at KinderHill Brew Lab for a special candle-making workshop featuring one-of-a-kind, handmade pottery by Carla Ponder, owner and artist behind Salamander Hands.

Each unique pottery piece is individually handcrafted, with its own character, texture, and story. Choose your vessel, select a fragrance that speaks to you, and create a custom candle that blends the beauty of artisan pottery with the warmth of a hand-poured candle.

This isn’t your ordinary candle-making class. It’s an opportunity to work with a truly special piece of local artistry and transform it into a functional keepsake you’ll treasure long after the candle has burned.

✨ Handcrafted pottery. Your signature scent. A candle as unique as you are.

📍 Kinderhill Brew Lab

This blue beauty is going to its forever home today and I wish I had made more of her! What do you think make more? Blue or make it pink? ✨

I just love these little guys! 😍 They will be the surprise you get when you purchase a spin from my vending machine. The vending machine will make its debut at @khbrewlab at the grown up book fair on Nov 7.

Until then I’ll be making more because they’re the best and I love the whimsy they are bringing to my life these days. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

It’s no secret we ❤️ Aggie Moms at SOK, so we were delighted to host the @brazoscoaggiemoms tonight for a pottery class with @salamanderhandspottery !

It was an evening for creativity and connection. BCAMC has worked hard to add social outings to their calendar in addition to regular meetings. SOK was honored to be once such outing.

We’d love to host your group also! Now booking Nov/Dec for holiday outings! 🦃🎄Reach out to coordinate a date.

These Anita crosses and ornaments came out of the kiln yesterday and are worth all the details and time it takes to make them- sometimes I wish I could speed up the time it takes me to produce them as easily as I do in the video 😆. ✨🤍

Adding them to the website this evening and they will be with me at my upcoming markets.

Which ribbon is your favorite? The little cross ornaments will be perfect for the holidays or a little accent in a room or nursery. 💕✨

We’ve been getting crafty all over BCS lately!! & Fall is now here - newest gathering just added to our calendar!

As some of y’all know, I have been just a lil preoccupied growing a tiny human - so posting consistently here became nearly impossible the last few months. BUT that hasn’t stopped craft club from getting together & creating cool things!!!

As always, I am so grateful to each and every person who shows up to the table. & to all the partners who have joined alongside craft club to make these gatherings happen. I literally couldn’t do this without y’all! Thank you thank you thank you x a million!

With love & gratitude,
Tay

The process of me throwing a travel coffee cup (sped up big time). Made several of these today along with a smattering of other things. I left myself time at the end of my session to make something fun I just wanted to make today and I needed that. It’s been a busy season with commissions, which I am grateful for, but it’s nice to just make for the fun of it.

What have you been making lately?

A very sped up video of me trimming up one of many bowls. This is the same process of how I trim bowls for @bv_emptybowls and the bowls that @twochicksandaflame are using for their lovely candles! Each bowl is wheel thrown, dried, trimmed then fired, glazed and then fired for a last time.
The bowls I make are food safe, dishwasher & microwave safe too. I hope you love using them as much as I love making them.

✨ NEW! Our Latest Custom Pottery Candle Collaboration ✨

Handcrafted with heart—and made to be cherished. ❤️

We’re so excited to introduce our newest collaboration with Carla of Salamander Hands! Each pottery vessel is handmade with care, making every candle beautifully unique.

And the best part? When your candle has burned its final glow, the vessel gets a second life as a sweet little trinket bowl or keepsake.

A candle that smells amazing, looks beautiful, supports another local artisan, and lives on long after the flame goes out.

Made by hand. Poured with love. Made to be cherished.

And yes… we had to give these a little Howdy! ❤️

✨ Limited custom pieces available—grab yours before they’re gone! ✨
