On July 4, 1776, our nation’s founders declared that every person has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Two hundred and fifty years later, those words still mean something because brave men and women continue to protect the freedoms they represent.

Growing up in a military family taught me that freedom isn’t just celebrated, it’s served.Watching my dad dedicate 34 years to the Massachusetts National Guard showed me that patriotism isn’t measured by one day on the calendar, but by a lifetime of sacrifice, selflessness, and service above self.

Today, I’m especially grateful for him, and for every service member, veteran, and military family who has answered the call to serve our country.

As Miss Massachusetts Teen USA, I’m proud to represent a state rooted in our nation’s history and a community that continues to embody resilience, courage, and service.

I hope everyone had a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day. May we never take our freedom, or those who protect it, for granted.

Happy Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙
