SPAIN ATE!

hiiiii y’alllll just came back from our trip to Spain & feeling so blessed, refreshed, inspired, and FULL from all our delish bites (and sips) over the past week and a half.

here’s some of my favs from Madrid in no particular order…more info on each dish & location in the caption of each pic 💃🏽🇪🇸

Heard about divorare thru @jacksdiningroom and wanted to give it a go to compare against some of the sandwiches in Florence from @igironedeghiotti and @pinossandwiches - it’s truly a one of a kind sandwich; sweet from the pesto and savory from the mortadella at the same time, crispy bread yet not too hard where it’s hard to bite through. Just an overall amazing bite of the trip. A must stop and if you catch it off peak lunch hours you may just get lucky with no line.

Angelita Madrid was such a great surprise. My drink was perfectly balanced, and offered three adjustment droppers to make it more spicy or smoky. It was newly added to the top cocktail bars in the world list. Created by two brothers who share similar passions, the upstairs is a thoughtful wine bar and restaurant, and the downstairs focuses on cocktails, offering two very different experiences. Both levels incorporate tons of family grown veggies and botanicals for their dishes and cocktails.

Casa Mortero was excellent and the service was outstanding. I appreciated that the food was a take on Spanish cuisine but served with more unique flavor profiles. Our table loved the monkfish and how our server expertly cut it up table side for our group.

TKO is such a hyped spot online and I had my reservations given it’s a chain and so far from your traditional Spanish food. However I have to say I was so impressed with the flavor and quality of the tacos, especially at a price of 1-2 euros each. My full meal with a drink was under $10 and made for a very nice grab and go lunch.

Don’t even get me STARTED on Marmitón. So unassuming from the outside yet one of my favorite dining experiences in Madrid. Each dish was packed with flavor, excellently presented, and thoughtfully put together. Their menu no menu concept lets you choose your own adventure throughout your meal

🍸 Day 282 of Negroni a Day! 🇪🇸

A little piece of Madrid made it back home with me!

Last month, while visiting Salmon Guru, I was lucky enough to grab TWO flasks of their Old School Funny Negroni to bring back to NYC! 🔥 @salmonguru

This isn’t your average Negroni. Made with Gin Le Tribute, red vermouth, Campari, Amontillado sherry, and tawny port, then aged for 6 years in their own solera system. 🤯

And the best part? It comes in this awesome collectible flask!

One of my favorite cocktail souvenirs from our Madrid trip. Now I get to relive a little bit of Salmon Guru without hopping on a plane. 🍸

Cheers to Day 282! 🥃🇪🇸

we feel very lucky to have taken some time off to slow down, explore, and reconnect. Spain (via London) for our pilgrimage to Seville, home of the bitter orange that gives @cultivaroamaro its backbone

now we’re home and hitting the ground running. the next few months are stacked with events, and maybe even a limited release or two

keep your eyes peeled
