Quiet luxury, with a little New York resilience @salon718 Dumbo location. 🤍

A low bun can say so much without saying too much — clean, softened, and effortlessly elegant, designed to complement the dress rather than compete with it.

With New York weather doing what it does best, she wanted the confidence of knowing her hair would stay polished from the first photo to the last dance.

I refined the shape with the @ghd_northamerica Chronos, softly curled the ends with the ghd Curve, then used @innersenseorganicbeauty Inner Peace Whipped Crème Texturizer to caress away flyaways. A finishing mist of @sebastianpro_official hairspray brought it all together with lasting hold and a natural, luminous shine.

Three months since her last highlights… so we gave them a little refresh. ✨

I painted in just what she needed, then added a gloss to melt everything together, enhance the dimension, and bring that glass-like shine back to the hair. 🤎

Finished with a polished blow-dry and a little photo shoot to capture the finished look.

Sometimes you don’t need a whole new color — just the right refresh. ✨

CLEAN. POLISHED. SOFT. ✨ This is the kind of finish I love creating for event hair.

For this ponytail, I wanted everything to feel seamless and intentional — especially the transition from the sleek base into the fullness of the ponytail.

I started by creating the ponytail foundation, then clipped the extensions into the ponytail so they had a secure place to hold. Which creates volume in the ponytail if you look at the back of her ponytail how it’s sitting, there’s volume. From there, I used the @ghd_northamerica Chronos Max to smooth everything into a clean, polished finish.

For the ponytail, I used the @ghd_northamerica Chronos Grand Curl Iron to create larger curls. Once they cooled, I gently combed them through to soften the curls and create that beautiful, full movement.

For me, the beauty is really in the finishing touches. I love when event hair feels polished and glamorous, but still soft and effortless.

If your hair extensions separate when you’re creating waves, here’s how to fix it. ✨✨

This throwback came up after someone asked me about it — and it reminded me of one of those little techniques I had to learn along the way.

The key is your grip.

Use your thumb to hold the extension and natural hair together.
Tease underneath for support.
And don’t release your grip too soon.

Keep everything together until the hair starts moving as one.

The goal?
One wave. Not two.

It can be tricky, but with a little finesse and control, it absolutely can be done.
