Create and journey have always been the two biggest words in my life.
And now, in ours.

I’ve created many things.
Pop-ups that lasted a night.
Chicken over rice bowls that became rituals.
Cardamom lattes.
Nitro matcha.
Third spaces.
A deli.
Places, flavors, ideas that came from instinct and stubborn belief.

But this creation feels… different.
This journey does too.

It’s special.
Unnerving.
Scary in a way that’s unfamiliar.
And prospectively, deeply fulfilling.
Completing.

I have no clue how it’s going to unfold.
No illusion of control.
Especially for someone who has never touched a diaper,
never rehearsed this part of life,
never pretended to have answers I don’t.

And yet,
somewhere underneath the fear,
it feels like it will be fine.
Not perfect.
But unique.
Exceptional.
Something entirely its own.

They say it takes a village.
Well, I don’t just have one.
I have a city behind this.
Friends. Family. Community.
People who have carried us, held us, celebrated us,
and will continue to do so in ways big and small.

So let’s see.
Where this goes.
Into another creation.
Into a journey I’ve never known.
Into what might just be the work of a lifetime.

With gratitude.
With wonder.
With love.
