I didn’t know pelvic floor therapy could feel like this. 🤍

Walking into my first visit at Salt & Light, I expected the usual… rushed, clinical, straight to the symptoms. Instead, I felt truly heard. We slowed down, I got to ask every question I had, and together we actually understood what my body needed before building a plan that made sense for me.

From that first conversation to my movement assessment and the recommendations after, the whole experience felt comfortable, empowering, and personal - not like just another appointment.

I went in navigating pelvic pain and perimenopause concerns and I finally don’t feel like I have to figure it out alone.

✨ 1:1 care. 60-minute visits. Evidence-based, compassionate care for women in Wilmington, NC.

If you’re ready to feel more at home in your body, I can’t recommend Salt & Light PT & Wellness enough.

A day in the life of a Women’s Health Therapist at Salt & Light PT🤍

One thing I love about this work? No two days look the same.

Today’s caseload included:
🤰 Prenatal care
🌸 Postpartum care
🌿 Pelvic pain
🏋🏼‍♀️ Prolapse management
🌙 Perimenopause and more!

Different bodies. Different seasons. Different goals.

And that’s exactly why pelvic health care should never be one-size-fits-all.

✨Sometimes the goal is preparing for birth.
✨Sometimes it’s feeling strong again after having a baby.
✨Sometimes it’s getting back to running, lifting, or intimacy without pain.
✨Sometimes it’s simply understanding what’s happening in your body.

Wherever you are in your season, you deserve care that meets you there.

Here’s to coming back to you. 🤍

10 years. One incredible community. ❤️

Still feeling so grateful for everyone who showed up to celebrate 10 years of Axis with us. From the people who have been here since day one to those who just joined us recently — you are what makes Axis what it is.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing vendors who came out, supported us, and helped make the day so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate a decade of sweat, growth, friendships, and memories.

10 years down. We’re just getting started. 🫶🏼

About this time 10 years ago I hosted the first of several Journey To Heal retreats for women healing from past sexual abuse, right here at Wrightsville Beach.

With the help of several women, including my sweet friend Debbie Briley and her daughter-in-law, Amanda, the weekend was filled with hope, healing, and friendships formed that have stood the test of time.

We hosted 15 women from all over the country. Some who had already gone through Journey to Heal with me online earlier that summer, and others were just beginning.

I was terrified of the cost, and a little naive. At the time there was no nonprofit…no Journey to Heal Ministries - just me, my book, some like-minded friends, (my supportive hubby),and a raw determination to provide a safe place of hope and community for women healing from sexual abuse where they could be encouraged, heard and supported in their journey of faith.

Fast forward to today, as a ministry we’ve hosted several retreats to inspire hope and provide a safe space for healing. We’ve seen God use what was meant to destroy lives for something beautiful, that fosters healing, supporting community and personal growth.

I am grateful for all the people who helped me take that first leap ten years ago, and all the leaps ever since! You all know who you are, and I just want you to know I love you for it!❤️

Boss Baby Lochlan has been up here CEO’ing with me all weekend. 😂💼

To all the mamas getting up at 5:00 AM to knock out the to-do list before the day starts…only to have your baby decide they’re ready to clock in too. 😅

We’re just out here building the business and raising the boss. 🤍
