RUNNINGBIRD THE CLUB: So, you know how I mentioned over the last 3 years I’ve been working on a passion project to transmute stale energy from a past life? (see my first pinned post) I started this account to document the evolution of this project. Running is my anchor and my compass, it is also my main source of creativity. I trust life to show me direction when I give her my creativity and that’s how things have been falling into place since I started @runningbirdtheclub.

This trail running club offers an inclusive supportive community that trains and travels the world together to trail run. Over the last year I have been conducting international field research to determine the most optimal running itineraries for my friends.

I recently drafted the full itinerary for Kenya, my birthplace and also a birthplace of mankind. I chose Kenya because she has a magnetic presence that she is so generous with. If you allow her she will leave you better than when you arrive. I resonate with that. It also doesn’t hurt that she is home to the fastest runners to ever live. The next few posts will offer insight into what we are doing to give life to this project.

I called my closest confidant and friend turned business partner to join me and of course she said “I’m down”. Linda is a fantastic traveling ultra runner herself, and an even savvier/highly successful business owner and author. Her feedback has been extremely valuable. And I love that she is all the way dialed into this delulu of mine almost as if it’s her own. People can’t help but feel more alive around @saltyseattle. I’m such a lucky duck. I love my “I’m down” friends so much. We get to explore this planet on foot together and that’s the funnest experience I’ve ever had!

The blue runningbird travel jacket I’m wearing I designed last year. The Rüppell’s Vulture on it is the highest flying bird reaching jet cruising altitude, patient, steadfast, and native to East Africa like yours truly. Welcome to the journey of @runningbirdtheclub.

ADVENTUROUS WOMAN. The baddest baddie in the PNW just ran her first 50 mile race with 10,000ft elev gain in the wilderness of Washington state, and she told me she had energy for more at the finish line. This is just a couple of weeks after she ran 100+ miles in Mont Blanc with @runcationtravel 🫶🫶 fantastic company, great adventures.

In the last year I have run in Italy, Slovenia, Washington, and Costa Rica getting to know this mountain ultra runner. I look forward to unraveling the tale of this wondrous woman. It is a deep, propagating, and magical one. NDE included.

A rainbow on the trails. ¡Que Linda! 🌈🩵 @saltyseattle

45’ten sonra ne öğrendim?

Sabır.

Beklemek değil…
Dağılmadan devam etmek.

45 yaşında yeniden öğreniyorum.
Kontrol edemediğim şeyleri zorlamamayı.
Denemekten korkmamayı.

Yanımda LGS çözen bir kız,
mutfağımda makinesiz, bıçak kesim ilk tagliatelle denemem.

Belki kusurlu.
Ama gerçek.

Hayat tam ortasında akarken öğreniyoruz.

Part 2 yarın. 🌿

¡QUE LINDA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my running bestie @saltyseattle who I love so very much. A bright, resilient supernova through and through. Someone I greatly look up to as a runner (she’s the machine), but more-so for being the delightful human she is. 🌈🩵
