Another great day in Lakeland University sports marketing class!

Learning from your peers is powerful, and today Lakeland students heard from three of their peers who had amazing summer experiences working in sports.

Sam Marchant, Charles Schaefer and Emmitt Konieczny shared how they obtained their summer roles, talked through their jobs and provided lots of great advice on next steps for current students.

I'm excited to see which of my students this fall will be speaking to this class next fall!

Meet the Intern team! ⚾️

We’ve been working tirelessly this month to get everything running smoothly for when June 2nd rolls around and that first pitch is thrown. The Dairyland Collegiate League truly runs on our incredible interns, and we are so proud to introduce the crew making it all happen this season:

🔵Sam Marchant (Green Bay)
🔴Molly DeNucci (Cumberland)
🔵Tess Kenney (Fennimore)
🔴Ashley Bonin (New Berlin)
🔵Rocco Conrad (New Berlin)
🔴Spencer Saltz (Bernardsville, NJ)
🔵Nathan Jahn (Menomonee Falls)
🔴Will Sezemsky (New Berlin)

The DCL is a family—one big community of players, coaches, interns, general managers, and our commissioner. It takes all of us to build this experience!

Still want to be part of the action? It’s not too late to join our team! If you have an interest in doing stats, producing podcasts or broadcasts, marketing, or just want to be part of an elite collegiate summer baseball league, reach out!

About the DCL:
We are one of the fastest-growing summer collegiate baseball leagues in Wisconsin, featuring eight teams across southern Wisconsin communities including Oconomowoc, Waukesha, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Janesville, Waterloo, and Windsor–DeForest.

Each summer, we bring in approximately 260 collegiate baseball players from across the U.S. to compete in a high-energy season. Fans can expect competitive baseball, family-friendly entertainment, community involvement, and the chance to watch talented athletes chase their dreams of playing at the next level.

Get Ready: Games begin June 2nd and run through the playoffs in July, with up to three games played daily!
