This cacao is from a small farmer collective in West Bali, this single origin cacao is traditionally harvested and made with prayers by local farmers. It is fermented under the sun in wooden boxes, with absolutely nothing added.

Recipe | 1 serving

Simmer 100 ml water with ⅛–¼ star anise, ¼ tsp Ceylon cinnamon, a tiny pinch of ground clove or 1–3 whole cloves, and 3–5 saffron threads for 5–8 minutes to infuse the flavours. Strain if desired.

Add 150 ml coconut milk or pistachio milk and warm gently

Remove from the heat and whisk in 30g ceremonial cacao until smooth and glossy. Add ½–1 tsp cacao butter, coconut oil or ghee, a pinch of sea salt, and 1–2 tsp date syrup, coconut syrup or honey, to taste. If using honey, wait until the drink is below 40°C (104°F) to help preserve its heat-sensitive enzymes.

For an extra touch of magic, whisk clockwise while holding a clear intention.

Allow the cacao to cool before adding blue lotus tincture (or any mushroom extract in powder or tincture form)

The botanical chemistry behind the spices:

Star Anise — Contains anethole, with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Traditionally used to support digestion.

Clove — Rich in eugenol, antioxidant and antimicrobial activity. Traditionally used for digestive health

Ceylon Cinnamon — Contains polyphenols with antioxidant activity. Potential effects on blood sugar regulation and metabolism.

Saffron — Contains crocin and safranal, bioactive compounds that affects mood and emotional well-being.

Blue Lotus — Historically associated with ancient Egyptian rituals. Compounds such as nuciferine and apomorphine affects dopamine signaling. Contact me in DM for my choice of spagyric blue lotus 🪷

You know… I’m learning to love all the seasons of being me.

And then, there are days when I bloom.
When I feel the life moving through me,

Motherhood. I didn’t expect it, neither was I against it. Could imagine growing older in many different ways and versions. But now. It seems. Like we are growing a human inside of me. I can feel my organs being pushed to the sides. The little human moving in my womb. It’s quite astonishing to be experiencing and I know many of you have already. I’m curious about life. After. About the shift in me. Identity. Instinct. To hold and be held. There is no fear, but big changes ahead. I’ll let them wash over me.

I quit my job in fashion because I couldn’t stand what I was seeing.

I remember unpacking hundreds of the same white T-shirt while piles of them were already sitting unsold in the stockroom.

That world of constant production, discounting and replacing never felt right to me.

I had grown up with something completely different.

Thrift shops.
Vintage.
Handmade silk and wool.
Beautiful pieces passed down from my grandmother.

Things with quality, history and character.

So at 23, I left the fashion shops and opened my own vintage store.

Looking back, that was the beginning of so much of what I still believe today.

Keep instead of consume.
Natural instead of synthetic.
Timeless instead of trend-driven.
Original instead of mass-produced.

Sustainable Beauty started there.

I still wear some of the first Samadhi samples from 2018.

They’ve softened.
They’ve faded.
Some have torn and been mended.

And honestly, I often prefer them now.

There is something about a piece you have lived in for years. The fabric knows your body. The repairs become part of it. It carries places, memories, movement and time.

I would rather mend something I love than replace it because it no longer looks new.

To me, this is Sustainable Beauty.

I think I finally found the words for something I have been creating for a very long time.

Sustainable Beauty.

Food that nourishes.
Homes with soul.
Things made by hand.
Nature. Craft. Patina. Character.

I believe we are here to create lives that reflect who we are.

Homes we feel good in.
Clothes that feel good on our bodies.
Food that nourishes us.
Work that uses what we are naturally good at.
People we feel ourselves around.
Nature we are connected to.
Space for creativity, spirituality, beauty and expression.
