A belated New Years post, for 2025…… this past year has been such a year of improvement for me. So much self love and progress. Learning lessons every SINGLE day. Next steps and new ventures. And SO grateful for all the help and friends along the way. From NYC to Toronto… and Hawaii somewhere in between 😉

Our wedding morning was so peaceful and playful 🌞

I had a beautiful and centering @ishtarabody ceremony with my soul sisters ✨

We also had friends over to get ready with us 🥹 so special and fun and created the perfect vibes for the day 🫶🏻🌵

Five years ago we set out to create a platform for people in the service industry to be able to unapologetically share their stories and experiences. Today we say goodbye.

It has been one of the most fun, rewarding experiences of my life to sit down every week and talk shop and laugh and constantly be surprised by the conversations we have had with various members of the industry. We covered everything from substance abuse to the stigma of working in the industry to hooking up in the walk-in to who actually fathered Jesus (it was A-Rod).
And it was a great challenge and learning experience to continue to find ways to make the show a better, stronger product along the way.

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed, listened, followed and supported this show. THANK YOU. You allowed us to take a silly idea and put it out into the world and feel like we found our community. You are a weird, wild, wonderful, fucked up bunch and we love you!

On a personal note: It is very sad to be saying goodbye to this podcast . It was a project that consistently inspired me to work my ass off because I sincerely loved every second of it. I am proud of what we created. I am going to miss waking up every morning excited to get cracking on some new element of the show. And if I can pass along one of the biggest lessons I have learned from this project; do not wait to pursue the things you want to pursue. We didn’t make money from this thing. We never got to the level of success we had hoped for. Does not fucking matter. It was an amazing, fulfilling experience the whole way through. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Point being, don’t allow doubt or procrastination to have any say in the matter. Just go fucking do it.

Special thanks:
Chris Marsella. This project is as much his as it is mine.
Mike, Josh and Schuyler for being amazing co-hosts that brought your own voices to the show.
Mike Tedesco and Jon for your amazing contributions to the music in the show.
Corey Rutledge for being so generous with his time and shooting our “Service Industry Stories” series.
Aaron Brown for giving a long hard day behind the camera.
Sam Aneson for help with sound.

Over the past several months 14 artists of various genres have participated in an art experiment.
Like a game of telephone one artist creates a piece in their particular expression (painting, music, comedy, film, etc..) then passes their work along to the next artist who would interpret the work, create their own piece in reaction to the work, pass that creation on to the next artist and so on and so on.
On May 26th at 7 pm at Easy Lover we will watch this conversation in its entirety. Each piece being presented and performed in order.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this with my community and to see it myself.
14 artists, 9 months in the making, 425 unread emails sent from me to those artists, a new fun, interesting way to art.
We hope you’ll join us.
