Throwing it back a whole four years to the wedding of Kamila and Cole. It was such an intimate day in the coolest downtown setting. I mean, just look at these pictures from @sambajoy 💐📷

It's been a while since I worked with dried flowers. I love the texture they bring when mixed amongst a fresh bouquet. If this is your vibe, send me a message for my wedding pricing guide!

Nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary. Just us, doing life together. And honestly, that’s everything 🤎

Dylan & Andrew, through the lens of @Sambajoy.

A little more fashion, a little more drama, and a guest list dressed entirely in black.

Every detail felt considered, from the tablescape to the florals to the way the whole room came together.

The kind of wedding that doesn’t need much explaining. 🤍

18+ YEARS of styling brides… and there aren’t many places we won’t travel for a wedding. ✈️🚗⛴️💍

Sarah’s romantic wedding at American Creek Lodge in Hope, BC brought our Faye Smith Agency team together from two directions — Master Stylist Faye travelling from West Kelowna, with the rest of our artists making the trip from Vancouver. 🤍

Since 2008, Faye Smith Agency has specialized in luxury on-site wedding hair & makeup, travelling to brides across British Columbia and beyond.

Vancouver ➝ Okanagan ➝ Vancouver Island ➝ Whistler ➝ mountain towns ➝ destination weddings.

Planes, trains, ferries, boats and more long drives than we can count… 😂 Wherever your wedding takes you, our glam team comes to YOU.

Because your wedding morning should be spent getting ready, sipping something bubbly and soaking it all in — not driving to a salon. 🥂✨

The Ketubah Signing: A Quietly Powerful Beginning
Before the main ceremony, the wedding included one of the most meaningful Jewish traditions: the signing of the Ketubah. Set inside Beth Israel’s warm wood-paneled Chapel, this moment carried a beautiful sense of intimacy, history, and joyful anticipation.

Tree of Life artwork on the Ketubah was meaningful as it echoed the forest-inspired wedding design that would unfold later in the day. Surrounded by family, tradition, and the people closest to them, Ashley and Philip made their commitments to each other.

Rabbi Paula Rose guided the moment with warmth, while Philip’s Shofar call added a powerful layer of tradition. There were smiles, laughter, and a few quiet emotional pauses. Then came the Bedecken, where Philip gently placed the veil over Ashley — a tender moment filled with emotion, smiles, and quiet anticipation. Ashley, glowing beneath her veil, leaned into the moment with a heartfelt presence. Philip was focused but joyous. Together, their energy felt sacred.

The ketubah itself was displayed on an easel, featuring a tree illustration that felt perfectly aligned with the couple’s love of nature. It was more than a legal or ceremonial document; it became part of the visual story of the day.

Once Ashley and Philip signed, the room shifted from quiet anticipation to celebration. The laughter, hugs, and emotional reactions captured by Sambajoy show the kind of in-between moments that make a wedding day feel so important. Before the chuppah, before the Hora, before the long-table dinner and packed dance floor, this was the moment where everything became beautifully real.

Epic Location isn’t about finding the most beautiful place. It’s about how you use it.

A strong image in this category goes beyond a pretty backdrop. The location should shape the frame, influence the composition, and play an active role in the story.

Judges are looking for images where:

✔️ The environment dominates or balances the frame with intention.
✔️ The couple feels connected to the space, not dropped into it.
✔️ Scale, light, and composition work together to create impact.

What do you find harder to get right? The location or the composition?

The Epic Location category is proudly supported by our amazing sponsors, @pictime_us and@progradedigital. Follow us for more insights into what makes an award-winning image.

“Hiring @plannedbybrynn from DreamGroup to plan our wedding was easily the best decision we could have made. She understood and had expertise with our religious and cultural needs. I had always dreamed of getting married in the middle of the forest, but it wasn’t realistic given our guest count and logistics. Brynn was able to help us bring the theme of a forest wedding to our venue. Having a list of recommended vendors to choose from was a game changer, and Brynn was able to perfectly match these vendors to our needs. Our wedding was truly the best day ever.”

From the moment Jasmine and Angelo walked into @mintara_burnaby the energy of the room was 🔥. The fusion of combining cultures with traditions was on point and the dance moves were as well. You know it’s amazing when the staff are having just as much fun as the invited guests. #mintara #burnabymountainweddings #vancouverwedding #vancouverdj #wedding
