Enjoying a resurgence of Summer this week in time for Equinox? Well we have one more show for you this year and it’s in the stunning setting of the outdoor @minacktheatre near Penzance. Looking forward to performing as much of John Martyn’s repertoire as we can as the sun goes down and stars come up over the Cornish coast.

This is a special one not to miss!

The news we’ve been itching to share…

Fresh from a triumphant night at The Forge, we’ve managed to entice the mighty @sambrookes to join us for the next Bristol Song Circle.

With his extraordinary four-octave range and intimate, soaring alt-folk songs, Sam is a compelling live performer, and we’re delighted to have him.

He’ll be sharing the stage with @suntousussomusic and @_natalieholmes at @roughtradebristol on Wednesday 11 November, with @blairdunlop hosting.

Come along for an evening of songs and stories.

Announcing @joelyjune as support for @sambrookes this Friday, 25th September at @theforgebristol!

Fresh folk meets indie pop, Joely June is a gut punch of soaring melodies, country twang and ear-worm hooks. Having always had a natural gravitation towards songwriting in its most intimate form, her gentle, contemplative and bittersweet lyrics create the ability to see your own world reflected in each of her stories.

Formally known just as Joely, 2023 marked the start of a new era with the release of four singles Time & Space, End-All, Cool & Not a Crier.

The fluttering new EP ‘My Love Has No End’ is out now. The EP takes rigid anxiety and learns how to breathe a long, slow exhale through slide guitar, pedal steel and soft synths. It self soothes, in the go-with-the-flow attitude of River and the healing of Freddy, before crashing into the what-ifs and warning sirens of Your Dog. To finish, My Love Has No End stills the noise, a gentle reminder that everything you will ever need lies within you.
