“Felt like the storm opened a portal and we slipped into a little pocket of magic.”

These words from Third Angle Poet Anna Weaver, who served as organizer and host for this past weekend’s Poets Playground, perfectly encapsulated the evening.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us, and we are especially grateful to all of our incredible performers and our community partner, Youth ROCK, for helping create an unforgettable, enriching, and inspiring experience.

And we would be remiss if we didn’t thank @boxyardrtp for their continued support of the arts and for allowing us to utilize their dynamic space.

These photos offer just a glimpse into the energy that filled the space: an evening of poetry, community, creativity, connection, and celebration.

Please continue to support our artists and their respective platforms by following them, engaging with their work, and showing up for the art they continue to bring into the world.

And stay tuned… Poets Playground will return in December!

Peace,

With less than a month to go until our Harvest Picnic, it’s time to spotlight our featured performers! We’re kicking things off with the talented Emily Anne Dellinger!

Emily is a poet based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her work explores devotion, identity, and the quiet ways ordinary lives shape us. Drawing on experiences in public service, caregiving, and reinvention, she writes poems that invite readers to find extraordinary meaning in the people, places, and moments they thought they already knew.

In order to fully experience Emily's gift, you have to RSVP your spot for our last event of the summer. Fortunately, we've conveniently placed the link to do so in our bio! See you soon.

Feel free to follow and support Emily @theporchlightpoet!
