September?! I hardly knew her!
.
A month where some things that looked hard were fun, and some things that looked fun were hard. Regardless, they all had their place.
.
So very grateful for the synchronicities this past month that has already managed to be about a month ago. Biggest takeaway - don’t wait to tell your people you love them.

For me, real talk on a mountain lands differently than it does on the valley floor. The connection the mountains have gifted me (to people, to places, to a confidence I feel in my bones) is hard to put into words.

Maybe it's the places themselves. Zion's walls burn red like embers that never cooled, and from the summit the canyon spills out below, endless and ancient, making everything else feel small in the best way.

And then there's the girl talk in wild places. The kind of depth that only opens up between like-minded souls, somewhere between the scrambling and the summit. A soul recognition. A knowing that we're all warriors in our own way, modern-day adventurers with dirt under our chipped pink polish, born to walk this heart path separately, alone, and together, all at once.

This valley-to-peak scramble with @sav.cummins & @samisauri reminded me of all of it.

Four days, two bikes, one rope.

@samisauri and @felipesh ride across Colorado’s San Juan mountains, leaving us a day by day logbook to follow.

Swipe to start the adventure. 👉

Day 1. Dolores, 2000m.

The driest season on record in the Four Corners, and a late start in the monsoon weather. Dunton Road, then gravel, then the first rain. Sami: « Rolling storms were a bit the theme of the trip ».

Day 1. Full cut. 📹
Camp at 3,000m by the Lizard Head trailhead.

Day 2. Alarm at 6:30, awake at 6:19.
Bikes hidden in a tree, food sealed away from the bears.
The trail starts in the forest, then switch to black volcanic sand.

Three pitches, with cycling helmets and approach shoes. Felipe leads each one dry. Sami follows through drizzle, then hail: « Felt a bit like a joke, but I don’t stop. »

Cumbre! Summit of Lizard Head, 3,997m. 🦎
At the top, the grey storm passes behind the wall while the sun holds on the other side.

Day 2. Full cut. 📹
Oreos on a red rock, a quite wet route, a summit shared with the clouds, and finally, pizza.

Day 3. Telluride valley.
Red and orange mountains, rocks that changes color and shape from one bend to the next.

Track turns into hike-a-bike: steep, loose, wet. Sami swaps into approach shoes.
Felipe: « I can’t believe you do this for a living » Sami: « This is nothing. I love type 2 fun. »

Day 3. Full cut. 📹
An hour of bushwhacking to a conglomerate wall, three pitches by a waterfall. Then a long push toward Ophir in the drizzle.

Day 4. Not much food left.
A game of Yahtzee decides: climb or ride. Sami rolls a 5, Felipe a 2. They ride, past the flowers of Lizard Head Pass.

First town on the way back means burger, coffee, a chocolate shake. Both pair of sunglasses replaced at the gas station.

Day 4. Full and Final cut. 📹
Sami, in her last page: « The trip is over, but I feel like it is just the start of more ».

FIREFLIES PATAGONIA 2027 | PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Because the thirst for discovery takes us places.

Places beyond the maps.
Remote territories.
Forgotten roads.
Unexpected encounters.

From March 4–14, 2027, we will ride across Chile and Argentina, exploring some of Patagonia’s most spectacular and lesser-known gravel landscapes.

A journey into the wild.
Long days on the bike.
Wind, mountains, rivers and vast, pristine lakes.

But Fireflies is about more than the places we reach.

It is about the people we meet, the stories we share, the communities we connect with — and the lives we can touch along the way.

Every kilometer has a purpose: raising funds to help improve the quality of life of children with cancer through @vivirmasfelizcl, while creating a positive impact in the communities along our route.

We ride so kids can keep being kids.

Once you’ve been there, there’s no going back.

Pre-registration for Fireflies Patagonia 2027 is now open.

If you feel the call to discover, to ride further, to go deeper — and to be part of something bigger than yourself — this is your invitation.

Apply now.
Link in bio & Stories.

For those who smile, we ride.

“I love the type 2 fun. My life is filled by it.” — @samisauri

There’s something special about combining two sports you love. A few weeks ago, Sami and a friend packed their bikes with climbing gear and set off through Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. Four days of riding at over 3,000m elevation, hike-a-bike, climbing, camping, changing plans and, of course, a healthy dose of type 2 fun.

Sometimes the best way to explore a place is under your own power! ⚡️🚴🏽‍♀️ 🧗‍♀️

Bike to Climb.

Longing for an adventure? Take notes while @samisauri shows how to explore the great outdoors properly.

From high-altitude camps and remote gravel roads to hail-filled climbing pitches in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, this was the kind of trip where the journey mattered just as much as the summit.
For an adventure like this, Sami relied on her Backroad Unsupported. Its balanced geometry, confidence-inspiring handling and tire clearance for up to 53 mm tyres make it the perfect companion when routes turn rough, plans change, and exploration takes over.

Dare to explore.

The Summer of Adventure.

Even when the days are at their longest, our friends have been bending time. Riding through the day and into the night, finding adventure in the hours most never see.

Big miles. Little sleep. Endless stories.

But now summer is over. Our favourite season begins.

THIS IS WHAT WOMEN IN THE TRAKA LOOK LIKE.

They look like strength.
Like mud on their legs and dust on their faces.
Like early alarms, long climbs and big doubts they rode through anyway.
Like power. Like effort. Like joy. Like freedom.

They look like every woman who has decided to take her place on the start line.

Last year, we created The Traka Force to open more doors, break down barriers and bring more women into this story.

This is its second year. And it is already moving.

300 women from the waiting list have been accepted through The Traka Force.
600 women are already in The Traka 2027.

And it’s only September.

JOIN THE FORCE.
